How the hell is the UFC going to convince anyone that Mike Pierce has a chance?
Well let us be honest...he doesn't. Looked great against Larson, and in past fights outside the Octagon, but what is with throwing Fitch guys who shouldn't be allowed to stand in the same room as him? Biggest wins against can of the century Mike Dolce and Mark Miller??? Decent main card, but the undercard looks a bit suspect. Nice to know that they are finishing 107 while 106 still remains the weakest card in UFC history.
********* Despite the loss of its “Ultimate Fighter” coaches grudge match between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has released a solid 11-bout roster for its Dec. 12 event in Memphis, Tenn. UFC 107 at the FedEx Forum is headlined by a lightweight championship between current titleholder B.J. Penn and challenger Diego Sanchez. Shoring up the main card are a heavyweight bout between former champion Frank Mir and French kickboxer Cheick Kongo, as well as an exciting lightweight match-up between fan favorites Kenny Florian and Clay Guida. Jackson and Evans were originally planned to headline UFC 107, which was scheduled for Memphis due to it being Jackson’s hometown. Jackson withdrew from the bout to accept the role of B.A. Baracus in the motion picture remake of the television series “The A-Team.” Currently in production, it is scheduled for release in June 2010. The full UFC 107 fight card: Main Bouts (on pay-per-view): -B.J. Penn (14-5-1; #1 Lightweight) vs. Diego Sanchez (21-2; #10 Lightweight) -Frank Mir (12-4; #3 Heavyweight)* vs. Cheick Kongo (14-5-1) -Kenny Florian (11-4; #6 Lightweight) vs. Clay Guida (25-10) -Jon Fitch (19-3; #2 Welterweight) vs. Mike Pierce (10-1) -Todd Duffee (5-0) vs. Paul Buentello (27-10) Preliminary Bouts: -Wilson Gouveia (18-6) vs. Alan Belcher (14-6) -Shane Nelson (12-4) vs. Matt Wiman (10-5) -Johny Hendricks (6-0) vs. Ricardo Funch (7-0) -Rousimar Palhares (9-2) vs. Lucio Linhares (13-4) -DaMarques Johnson (12-7) vs. Edgar Garcia (7-1) -Kevin Burns (10-3) vs. T.J. Grant (14-3)

Fitch is hungry, Fitch needs to eat.
If top 10 guys are afraid to fight him who else is he gonna beat on?

taking a last-minute fight against a top guy generally means you get repaid for your favour with a few more fights
or something I doubt it has anything to do with Pierce being able to compete with Fitch on his level - more like they needed someone and he was there

Still a solid card, plus they'll try and showcase Fitch to show how much he's improved since the lost to GSP.

I think the only exciting fight I've ever seen fitch in was when GSP was kicking the living shit out of him for 5 rounds

the fitch vs alves rematch wouldn't have been that interesting, probably just fitch decision
alves is way fucking overhyped, he's slow as shit and just has good leg kicks he's like the welterweight antoni hardonk
