Some information on brett rodgers ground game

So i was listening to one of sherdogs radio shows today from the past week. Apparently tj desantos has submitted rodgers while rolling a couple of years ago. So if fedor some how loses he would of lost to a guy tj tapped.

Actually, TJ just pulled guard and slapped on a quick armbar. That was back when he was actually training to fight and Brett was just starting out. I don't think they ever rolled more than once or twice from what he told me. But you're absolutely right, it certainly doesn't reflect well on Brett's ground game. If De Santis can pull guard into an armbar, something tells me Fedor can, as well.

i got tapped by a 130 pound little mexican when i first started training, does that mean he'll always be better than me? or that it should be held over my head?

while the ground may not be roger's game i'm sure he's improved since he rolled with tj, jesus. you act like it happened yesterday or something

That be fine if it was years ago, but it was only 2. You dont improve that much in 2 years where you are being tapped by tj and now facing someone on fedors submission level.

TJ told him before they rolled that he was just a beginner, which I guess was true, but not really compared to Brett at the time. De Santis had been training for about two years on and off, while Brett was a few months removed from the Tuff-Guy tourney scene. After Rogers tapped he got up and said, "Beginner my ass"

TJ was actually training to fight professionally for about two years (2004-2006). This was before he had the show on Sherdog. At one point, he had agreed to fight Shawn Nolan at a show in Iowa. I forget why, but the fight fell apart. The Gross training came a year or two later. I interned on the show for awhile. The studio is about twenty minutes from my apartment. I'll be at the DeSantis wedding. Anyone want to be my +1? : )
