Why does Shogun gas so quickly? Bad cardio or taking too much damage?

Seriously WHAT THE FUCK?!

vs Machida 1 - pressed the action in 5 full rounds and was fine. no cardio problems

vs Machida 2 - made quick work of him in 1 round. no cardio problems

vs Bones Jones - looked like a cardio problem but imo had more to do with that flying knee that he got hit with 3 seconds into the fight and the 1 of a kind ass-whoopin he got that night.

vs Griffin 2 - made quick work of him in 1 round. no cardio problems.

vs Hendo - Hendo knocked any cardio out of him with all those H-bombs. no cardio problems imo

vs Vera - was gassed after trying to finish Vera 40 seconds into round 2! And why didn't he kick Vera's leg again after dropping him in the beginning of the 2nd round?

Shogun can be lazy during training.

When motivated he is a different animal.

it seemed like he was gassed from just walking up the steps into the octagon in that fight.

I am pretty sure it happens when he is injured. Not due to his motivation. He was injured against Forrest, and said last nite it was not his best performance, leading me to believe he was injured. Against Jones, he looked gassed but it was due to him getting kneed in the face at the beginning of the match. He never recovered. I heard him say this in an interview.

ive heard from insiders of his camp that hes extreemly lazy. if you his coaches arent on him all day and night then he will just slack in the gym.
