The dark knight rises(spoilers)

I think it is pretty obvious from the latest trailer than joseph gordon lewitt is the new/replacement batman. Been hearing rumors about this fr quite a while but the latest trailer confirmed my doubts. JDL is a great actor regardless of his physical stature and he brings intensity.

I have this feeling that this one will fail but I hope I am wrong.

I just can't see anyone doing a Bane story that comes anywhere close to Knightfall.

A big part of Knightfall was all of Batmans enemies all coming at him at once where he struggles to stay alive and stay sane. I really doubt they are going to make it that cool.

I feel like the trailer gives so much away, but maybe thats what Christopher Nolan wants us to think. Batman's "haven't given everything, not yet" line makes me feel like he's going the ultimate sacrifice route. Perhaps Joseph Gordon Levitt will be the rising dark knight. It would also give the studios a way to keep making money even though Nolan is done after this one.

People have been saying hes gonna be like azrael. also heard they are lifting elements from the no mans land story arc where the city is in anarchy and the cops start taking back parts of the city in like a turf war.

bane breaks batmans back, azrael takes over as the new batman in a metal suit that turns psycho and starts killing criminals

old batman heals, has to take out new batman

and somehow Hesher is involved

It's going to a the last 2/3rds of Knightfall going into Batman rehabilitating himself. Bane is gonna get Bruce and break him early on in the movie then he'll work his way back and go to war at the end.
