If so, how legalized should they be? Should we take every drug off of every regulation and simply let people buy whatever they fuck they want?
If not, what restrictions should we have an what justifies those restrictions?

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, the other to the Lord.
Looking back at the footprints in the sand, he noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
The Lord replied, "My son, My precious child, I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
Weed and hallucinogens yea. Opiates, hell no.

So you're not worried about teenagers becoming heroin junkies because you can buy it at a corner store?
Also, if you tax it too heavily, you can still create a black market for the item.
Is that just because of how addictive opiates can be?
If addictive drugs are still illegal, cocaine and meth imported from Mexico will still be funding drug trafficking organizations like the Sinaloa and Zeta cartels which draw a huge amount of their funding from meth and coke. 90% of the coke and 65% of the meth used in America is imported through Mexico. Isn't one of the main reasons for legalizing drugs is to reduce the power of the organized crime/gangs who fund themselves through drug money?

start with weed.... go from there
all legal. all mass produced with quality control in place. spend a fraction of the money spent on drug prevention/ prison etc. on education and we're already in a better place.
there will be no mass impulse buying of hard drugs. if people wanted to do it its already there. the illegality is merely a technicality.
only restriction is in line with alcohol laws. 18 or over to purchase, with heavy fines for resale to minors.
Legalize mostly everything besides crack, heroin and meth.
If those 3 were easy to obtain then I gaurantee you would be seeing little kids getting hooked on it because those 3 are very addicting.

Exactly opiates like hydrocodone and oxycodone are very available to the kids almost as available as weed at least that's how it is in my area
I think it's time for an honest reevaluation. I'm quite sure weed would be found to be comparatively harmless compared to drugs that are legal now. Some psychedelics would probably be fine, too, taken with reasonable precautions (like alcohol, sleeping pills, or anything else). I think we just need to start over. Take the boogey man reefer madness mentality out of things, allow drugs that aren't generally more harmful than those considered "acceptable" now to be used by adults.
As for heroin and others, I don't know if keeping them strictly illegal is good. People should be allowed to utterly destroy themselves, if they are an adult and that's their bag. I think the knowledge should be put out there that the stuff is shit and will destroy you, just like the knowledge that weed won't turn you into a no good bum should be put out there. Just the facts, ma'am. Beyond that, make it illegal for people under 21, and go after the ones who try to peddle it on kids with as much force as usual.

It doesnt matter what ppl think anyways. Who rules america? Think about it. Would big companies like if all drugs were suddenly legal?
