I personally dont think any athlete deserves to get paid those ridiculous numbers. look at Alfonso Soriano just landed an 8 yr contract with the cubs for 136 million over 8 yrs. maybe it's just me, but why would you even think about paying someone that amount just to play a fucking game. let me play and i'll play for peanuts compared to those pro athletes. collage kids on the other hand play for pride and a chance to play for a national championship, until they become pro and get greedy just like all of them. fuck back in the 70's you never heard of anyone making more than 1 million.

Its not like these insane figures are being pulled out of the air. Sports generate BILLIONS of dollars now adays, and if you are a big draw and you are pulling in insane amounts of money for some stuffy business man who owns the team, then you deserve a chuck of that insane amount of money. Its only fair. You say that an athelete doesn't deserve that much. Well, what are we going to do with all the money that is being generated? Does a team manager deserve it more than the athletes? Its all about supply and demand, its just business.

But no one wants to see you play. I'd fight Wlad Klitchko for a fraction of what a real HW boxer gets paid (lets say $50,000). Thing is, no one wants to see me fight Wlad. I'm not worth that much.
