I HAVE NO OTHER BLU-RAY OR DVD PLAYER, I WANT TO WATCH MY BLU-RAYS AND DVDS THAT I HAVE GOTTEN RECENTLY. I ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS PLAYING MY MUSIC SOMETIMES OFF THE EXTERNAL 1TB I HAVE, DUE TO THE THING GOING OUT ON ME. WHICH MEANS PLAYING IT THROUGH MY GHETTO ASS CRAPPY PC SPEAKERS. I PREFER TO KEEP MY MUSIC GOING THROUGH THE TV. I ALSO HAVE NO CD PLAYER, NOT ONE THAT PLAYS OFF OF USB DEVICES.

Anyhow, many Blu Ray players will play cds and mp3. So if the issue is more movies and music than games, again, you could save yourself some money. Just saying
