I Lost Badly.

On the weekend i competed in the 2010 BJJ Spring cup, it was my 2nd competion ever and 1st at blue belt.
I lost my 1st match via triangle choke, i performed so bad, had a really bad preparation didnt even really warm up or anything, not to take away from my opponent though as he was alot more skilled than i was. i can usually get out of traingle pretty well but my mind was elsewhere .

it was a shit match with him pulling guard, getting the sweep into mount than triangle haha

good learning experiance, i just wish i could have played abit of my game

cant wait to get back to training and compete again i will post the video when it uploads so i can get some constructive criticism

No big deal man we all have good days and bad days just like a the gym. I posted the vids from my first comp two weeks ago in the training forum in my what I have been doing thread. I lost both my gi matches and lost one won one lost one in no gi. Didn't do as well as I had liked, but every one from my gym said I did great anyway.

The only time I got submitted in a grappling competition was to a weird instant triangle. It's embarrassing, I know. To this day, I couldn't tell you how I ended up in the thing. The guy just snapped his fingers and wiggled his ears and I was deep in his triangle.

dude its ok i dud shit at my competition this week end too.

i had three 3 weeks of prep prior to a 5 month lay off

first round got a flying armbar
second round lost on a sweep
third round while trying to pass i mad a rookie mistake and got triangled

Its all about the stretch out and warm up. Get the juices flowing before you do anything. Did he transition to the triangle?

as soon as i done the upa escape from mount he instantly locked in the traingle, i do agree with the warm up comment, i bbasically had none because they put me on alot earlier than i was anticipating.
