Who are the best martial artists alive?

Who do you feel are the best martial artists alive today. I am not counting just MMA either.

    I got

Marcelo Garcia - Insane what he does considering his small size. The true epitome of martial arts-The Smaller Man Beating the Larger Man.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. - Inhuman speed and reflexes. He's the best boxer because of his defense. Hitting hard is more genetic, slipping a punch is more from practice although I do understand genetics can play into reflexes as well.

Fedor - Competes in a sport where upsets happen a little too often yet has survived a punchers chance and a wrestlers throw and still remains undefeated. He is simply inhuman.

That may be true but Manny has incredible power for his size but Mayweather has faster defense so I give him the nod. Even if Manny beats Floyd I would keep my list the same. Mayweather has already proven enough and it has more to do with his style than who he beat although both those things are important.

According to a BMA study around 82% of men who took part in the vicious fights were gay before they started and another 12% became gay during their first fight.

The remaining 6% took part in cage fighting because they wanted to beat up gay men.

They are martial arts for sure. They both fit every definition of what a martial art is.

At least they work. Alot of TMA's should be called dancing instead of a martial art,

Don Frye, he turned no strategy into a strategy and laid it all on the line, every time. He surrendered to the fans and not his opponents, ever. He gave birth to sprawl and brawl, which many champions still use today. Chuck Norris has an altar dedicated to Mr. Frye in his home dojo, that says it all right thur.

I really have to go with Fedor. A lot of it could be my bias as an mma fan. But I really think just too many stars aligned for his creation to not be the best ever. When I think about Fedor and why he's so good, it makes sense in my head but it is kind of hard for me to put into words. Essentially, he is the result of so many possibilities coming together, one in billions, kind of like life on Earth. In short, he is a guy who just happened to be born with ridiculous physical and mental gifts, who also was born into the kind of environment and family that would make him the kind of person he is today, who just happened to get into sambo at the right time, and just happened to have the work ethic to really put his gifts to use, and just happened to get into mma, and just happened to be developed the right way without fighting someone with years of experience on him before he was developed, which meant he just happened to not lose ever, which happened to contribute to his calming demeanor in the ring, which just happened to make him the unstoppable force he is today. Still doesn't do him justice.

Fedor is the ultimate martial artist because he is the small guy fighting the bigger guy in most of his fights unless he's fighting Matt Lindland or something like that. He sure was a hell of alot smaller than most of his opponents.

With Fedor its everything. Its his crazy reflexes, his power, his balance, mental strength, cardio and his technique. Who has ever seen Fedor gas?
