Ok, ill try to explain. Keep in mind that once a great fighter loses people tend to exaggerate how much of a can they suddenly become.

Considering Mir's best wins are Nog and Brock who has improved since that win, avenged the loss in dramatic fashion and improved to his current position in the rankings, I have to discredit Mir's win against Lesner, as Lesner was still green. Which leaves Mir's best win as Nog. Now Fedor has wins over Arlovski and Rogers prior to his losses, both lower than Nog but still top 20 and old win against Nog too back in Pride when they were at thier prime. Which for me is the tipping point for ranking Fedor just ahead of Mir.

Now lets take a look at thier key losses. Comparing recent Strikeforce and UFC fights

Fedors losses come from Werdum 4, Silva (cut) 8, and Henderson 6 as a LHW
Mirs losses come from Lesner 5, Carwin 9 and Vera 0, not counting his earlier losses.

I see where you are going with all that, but I can't in good concience support any logic that ranks Fedro above Mir at this point in thier careers. To indicate that Fedro lost to a cut against Silva is also intellectually dishonest - our boy got beat to a pulp in that fight.

Yeah i see your point, but its hard to rank Cormier or someone like Lombard much higher because of lack of competition.
