    I liked stir crazy.
    it had its moments.
""Life is a state of mind, Life is what you think it is. Your own life is what you think it is. Everything is what you think it is. You have no grasp of reality, so you fill that vacuum with your interpretation of it. The influence that someone/something has over you is only the one you grant to that someone/something. Same goes with your own feelings, it's in your power to change them. "Life is a state of mind." Nothing has any influence over you but the one you grant it."

I think its probably the worst performance I've ever seen from Gene Wilder.

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EvSgPowOO8c&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/EvSgPowOO8c&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

    Even Richard thought it sucked.

"What do you wanna know about it? It SUCKS!"
"Ain't no fighters in England! Dey all BUMS!"
    -James "Lights Out" Toney

Blackie Sherrod, talking about a heavyweight contender: “He has everything a boxer needs except speed, stamina, a punch, and ability to take punishment. In other words, he owns a pair of shorts.”

I thought Gene's performance was WAY too over the top. The movie was horribly written and most of the gags were dumb, but instead of making them decent he made them unwatchable.

And of course Pryor just looks bored throughout the whole movie. Shitty movie, it has the best comedian of all time and one of the best comedic actors of all time... and its not funny!

Gene is called the master of yelling. Atleast by his fans.
his character in that movie isn't that much different than most of his other movies.

the last hour of that movie I felt sucked.
When the rodeo began, that was boring.

It was a pretty boring, unfunny character. You can't play all your roles the same way. The dialogue was shitty and Gene really never did anything to make the character watchable imo. I think it was shitty casting. Wilder is better when he is the laid back, cool guy, and Richard is the better loud, abrasive guy. Its like they kind of switched roles, and the result was not funny

Portier should have kept his black ass in front of the camera instead of behind it.

most actors do play alot the same roles over and over.
I thought gene was WAY over the top in young frankenstein.

but I suppose you are right in the sense about gene.
His other movies with pryor are better.

Its a Mel Brooks Frankenstein flick though, over the top is the name of the game. Better suited in that setting than a buddy flick with Richard Pryor imo!

Yeah I agree about their other movies, I love Silver Streak. Thats the only movie by them I can remember that I hated

Majority of the time were watching them sleep... wth is so scary about that!? Fast forward thru the sleep scene around 3ish each night... ghost does something "spooky" cut to next morning... "OMG look the door closed! Granted if this were to happen to me in real life id need a box of adult diapers however... this is a movie and watching it on film... just isn't scary in the least. Its boring, drawn out (much like my post), comical(and not just the scenes that were meant to be) and well anything BUT scary. ~twoscoops6, IMDB review of Paranormal Activity
