    No the study I posted does show that because everyone gets sick or injured at some point.

    multi vitamin,fish oil & glucosamine are the supplements I use.

    After further reeading it looks like neutrophil's use glutamine at high rates. So thats another possible benefit from supplementation.

    Can someone point me in the right direction here, as this is my 1st time about reading about glutamine. Are there some studies showing glutamine supplementation and it's positive effects on athletes ?

    Its not gonna make you faster, stronger or bigger but it will help you get better quicker when you are sick.

    Whether this factors into you body recovering from heavy exercise is kinda still open to debate I guess.

    Thats a good supplement setup hunter, I'd suggest a greens supplement over the multivitamin. But fish oil is essential and there is some evidence of glucosamine helping out your joints.

    honestly i dont take glutamine although i take a lot of acidophilus, some vitamin E and iron. and also a lot of msm glucosamine

    Depends on your goals, loose or gain weight etc. Also, research has shown for years (and still does) that more meals helps keep the blood sugar levels even.

    Current research basically says the only way you need to eat 4-6 meals a day is if you are trying to gain weight and can't fit enough food in in small amounts of meals. I'll post some research when I find it...too lazy right now.
