    recovery supplements??

is there any supplements i can take after training that will get rid of the aches the following morning. id like to go running every morning but cant because my legs always feel dead from training the night before. creatine supplements would be no good as i am losing weight and doing lots of cardio

are you doing long runs or what? I typically do sprint intervals which blast your cardio & make you tired quickly when you start but you generally get your cardio back faster & faster as you do more

Rugby teams use full-body ice baths to reduce the amount of all-over damage from hard training (think Diego Sanchez in TUF), plus there's a lot of evidence in vitamins C and E reducing delayed onset muscle soreness.

    1. Ice bath (with warm shower after) - repeat X 3 or 4
    2. Protein shake with glutamine, and C and E supplements
    3. Lots of sleep

I've personally tried the Ice bath/warm shower. I'm not sure it helped any. I was still hella sore for a while.

It's better used for contact sports - like an all-over icepack, but the cold/hot/cold/hot thing is meant to flush blood through the muscles, theoretically removing waste products that cause all the pain.

taking muscle milk before bed since it is slow release nutrients...and more sleep will help....whats wrong with taking creatine? it puts on some weight but its only water weight...and goes away when you cycle off.

Thanks to "nicm125" I ordered Cael Sanderson's recovery supplement. It works like a charm for me and tastes fine too. I ordered lemon lime (http://www.beundefeated.com/productc...p?idproduct=75) instead of orange. I found out later you can customize how much flavor you want. I'm planning to try this out next time around.

I eat a shit load of bananas. Seems to be helping.

    Eat one right after weights.

Eat one before I go back for my 2nd workout.

Eat one halfway through the 2nd workout.

Multivitamin. Rest. Etc.... diet helps a lot too.
