    NEED COMPUTER HELP! SoundMAX

    I fucked around a little bit too much today with my computer and I deleted a program called SoundMAX, which came installed with my computer when I bought it. I thought it was a useless program, but it turns out it held some important drivers. Under control panel/sound devices I it says I have no sound device and my computer says it has new hardware in the form of a new Audio Controller, which isn't working properly. When I install the supposed recommended drivers it doesn't work.

    Basically I know I need a specific version of SoundMAX that comes with Windows XP or else I have no sound on my computer (no music or anything, YAMMA was a pain in the ass). If I had a recovery disc it would be money, but I don't. So any help would be appreciated.

    try to find out what kind of soundcard you have

    is it integrated with your motherboard?

    the soundcard, the device that makes sound

    sometimes they actually come with the motherboard as in they are attached or inside of it

    you need to know what your hardware is so you can find out what drivers you need but maybe that link Jack posted will work as long as its the right version or otherwise compatible

    soundmax is a useless program. you only need the driver that comes with it. anything else related to it can be shitcanned. but yeah ninja's right, we need more specs on your comp. motherboard model, or sound card model if its separate. penis size would be useful too.

    His link didn't work. Appreciate the attempt though man.

    I'm pretty sure it was basically what I needed, but it said it doesn't work for my hardware.

    The icon in the corner of my screen mentions Realtek AC97 but when I download it my computer gets unstable and crashes. PWNT.

    sounds like you need realtek drivers

    when you download it your computer becomes unstable or when you try to install it?

    restart and try it again
