After losing to Minatauro Noguiera, Tim Sylvia was eager to get back into the gym.
We were able to photograph the mammoth fighter as he revolutionized his style to optimize his success on the long road back to the UFC title, which he still considers his own.
"Noguiera has MY title" said Sylvia after practicing his new routine.
"I'm doing more wing span work. I'm also working on slowing my game down. I realized I was going way too hard and moving much too fast for my natural genetic abilities. My species aren't meant to move like that and that is why Noguiera was able to capture me in the Guillotine."
Tim went on about his decisions to change his style.
"Instead of fighting to win, I fought to put on a good show. Was it entertaining as hell? Sure, but being the UFC champ isn't about putting on a good show, its about winning. And if the only way I can win is by slowly maneuvering my opponents against the cage and then wearing them out with my frame, then thats what I'll do."
When asked about his new found fan support, Sylvia almost smiled.
"Who couldn't love this face?".
