6. Fedor Emelianenko
7. Brock Lesnar
8. Shane Carwin
9. Frank Mir
10. Josh Barnett

With #1 Brown Pride, Cain Velasquez and #2 Junior Dos Santos, is scheduled to happen November 19th, UFC fans finally have two of the best HW's fighting for the belt. Meanwhile the Strikeforce tournament continues with Barnett defeating Rogers and Ubereem defeating Werdum. Now the final four are set and whether the eventual tournament champ will be able to claim the #1 Heavyweight spot remains to be seen. The possibility of Strikeforce's Heavyweight's joining the ranks of the UFC's Heavyweights in the future is awesome.

Light Heavyweight

1. Jon Jones
2. Mauricio Rua
3. Rashad Evans
4. Quinton Jackson
5. Lyoto Machida
6. Dan Henderson
7. Forrest Griffin
8. Rafael Cavalcante
9. Phil Davis
10. Mo Lawal

Jon Jones defeating Shogun with ease hurt our Pride. Meanwhile Rashad Evans getting injured means a in shape looking Rampage will be getting the shot on September 24th, fresh off his victory of Matt Hamil. In Strikeforce, champ Dan Henderson will face fallen Last Emperor Fedor Emelianenko, thought not for the belt its a bout for the ages and not to be missed for true fans of the sport. Phil Davis's victory over Lil Nog moves him into the top ten, he is 9-0 and due to face Suga Rashad August 6th.

Middleweight

1. Anderson Silva
2. Chael Sonnen
3. Ronaldo Souza
4. Yushin Okami
5. Mark Munoz
6. Vitor Belfort
7. Demian Maia
8. Brian Stann
9. Wanderlei Silva
10. Michael Bisping

Pound for pound kingpin Anderson Silva is set to face Yushin Okami, at UFC 134The fight is a rematch from the 2006 Rumble on the Rock tournament where Okami defeated Silva via a controversial disqualification, thus making Okami the last fighter to 'defeat' Silva. Meanwhile Mark Munoz and Brian Stann both enter the top ten with victories over Demian Maia and Jorge Santiago. Borderline top ten fighters Jason Miller and Michael Bisping will face each other after landing coach positions on the latest The Ultimate Fighter.

Welterweight

1. Georges Pierre
2. Jon Fitch
3. Jake Shields
4. BJ Penn
5. Nick Diaz
6. Josh Koscheck
7. Charlie Brenneman
8. Rick Story
9. Paul Daley
10. Thiago Alves

#2 Pound for pound fighter, Georges St Pierre, defends his belt against Jake Shields and will now face Strikeforce's champion in a title unification match. Both fighters have not lost a fight since 2007. With 9 and 10 fight winning streaks respectively. Rick Story moves into the top ten with a win over Thiago Alves, he will next face Nate Marquardt at UFC Live, June 26th.

Lightweight

1. Gilbert Melendez
2. Frank Edgar
3. Shinya Aoki
4. Eddie Alvarez
5. Gray Maynard
6. Tatsuya Kawajiri
7. Jim Miller
8. Clay Guida
9. Josh Thomson
10. Sean Sherk

Not much to report here. Gilbert Melendez is coming off a impressive tko of Tatsuya Kawajiri, Frankie Edgars last fight was a draw with Gray Maynard retaining his title, and Shinya Aoki had a hard time getting an opponent for his last fight, finally doing his thing with a neck crank of veteran Rich Clementi at Dream. Fight for Japan! Jim Miller and Clay guida both advance in the ranks, with a string of victories. The lower end is to close to call, Josh Thomson and Sean Sherk remain having only loss to the very elite but are likely to fade away if they dont get some good wins before a handful of fighters making thier way up the ladder do, notably in Guillard, Masvidal, Pettis, and Kikuno.

Featherweight

1. Jose Aldo
2. Hatsu Hioki
3. Chad Mendes
4. Kenny Florian
5. Michihiro Omigawa
6. Marlon Sandro
7. Robert Peralta
8. Hiroyuki Takeya
9. Diego Nunes
10. Joe Warren

Jose Aldo just recently defended against Mark Hominick and is now rumored to face Kenny Florian. Florian who just earned a decison win over Diego Nunes in his debut fight, looks to be getting a quick push to the top. Hatsu Hioki has chosen not to defend his Sengoku belt and is rumored to be in talks with the UFC, if he joins he will be a welcome addition to the roster and who's elite grappling and submission skills all but guarantee he will soon be fighting for the belt soon. Marlon Sandro has joined Bellator to compete in their Featherweight tournament and if he wins he should face the winner of Joe Warren and Patricio Freire.

Bantamweight

1. Dominick Cruz
2. Brian Bowles
3. Joseph Benavidez
4. Miguel Torres
5. Demetrious Johnson
6. Urijah Faber
7. Scott Jorgenson
8. Brad Pickett
9. Takeya Mizugaki
10. Damacio Page

Dominick Cruz will next face Urijah Faber at Bantamweight, his last three defenses against Scott Jorgenson, Joseph Benavidaz and Brian Bowles have cmented him as the betting favorite but Faber has alot of supporters. This fight takes place at UFC 132, July 2nd. Brian Bowles will also face Takeya Mizugaki at htis event. Benavidaz is set to face Eddie Wineland at UFC Live. Kid Yamamoto is set to break into the top ten if he can beat Damacio Page at UFC 135, September 24th.
Heavyweight

1.Fabricio Werdum
2.Fedor Emelianenko
3.Junior Dos Santos
4.Brock Lesnar
5.Cain Velasquez
6.Alistair Overeem
7.Antonio Silva
8.Shane Carwin
9.Frank Mir
10.Antonio Nogueira

Fabricio Werdum tops our ranks with an unusually easy win over perennial top HW Fedor Emelianenko. Fedor obviously wants a rematch while Fabricio won’t fight for the rest of the year due to elbow surgery. Reports are Fedor wants #6 Alistair Overeem, but this most likely won’t happen due to Overeem committing to the K-1 HW Grand Prix.

#2 Junior Dos Santos fought and beat Roy Nelson to become the #1 contender for the HW title. He is currently awaiting the winner of Lesnar and #5 Velasquez coming up October 23rd. #4 Brock Lesnar is the UFC HW champ, but there’s a feeling that he barely pulled the win out against #8 Shane Carwin. Dos Santos’ win was more dominant so he gets the nod although Brock can possibly move to the top with a dominant win.

#7 Antonio Silva pulled out a unanimous decision against perennial top ten but currently unranked HW Andrei Arlovski. Silva is currently scheduled to fight Valentjin Overeem coming up December 4th, which probably won’t help or hurt him in the rankings unless he loses.

#8 Shane Carwin is currently in a holding pattern following his loss to Brock Lesnar. Rumor is he’s to fight Roy Nelson but nothing is currently scheduled. #9 Frank Mir pulled out a win against legend Mirko Crocop, but most feel it was a poor showing for Mir and that the fight should have been finished sooner. In the end, he beat an unranked opponent. Mir was supposed to fight #10 Antonio Nogueria, but Big Nog had to pull out due to knee surgery, which will keep him out for the rest of the year.

Light Heavyweight

1. Mauricio Rua
2. Lyoto Machida
3. Rashad Evans
4. Forrest Griffin
5. Quinton Jackson
6. Rafael Cavalcante
7. Ryan Bader
8. Jon Jones
9. Mo Lawal
10. Gegard Mousasi

#1 Mauricio Rua got his win against #2 ranked Lyoto Machida to get the UFC LW title some say was awarded a fight too late. Knee surgery has him out until next year. It looks as though he’s going to fight current #3 Rashad Evans, who’s going to sit out until the fight is made. #2 Machida looks to recover from his 1st round KO with a scheduled bout against #5 Quinton Jackson who himself is looking to bounce back from his unanimous decision loss to Evans. #4

Forrest Griffin was set to fight Lil Nog before having to pull out due to a shoulder injury. Griffin hasn’t fought since getting the split decision against unranked Tito Ortiz last November. #7 Jon Jones continues to rise to the top with increasingly tough competition beating an overwhelmed Vladimir Matyushenko back in August. He was rumored to face the winner of Lil Nog/Ryan Bader but nothing is currently scheduled.

#6 Rafael Cavalcante and #9 Mo Lawal fought for the Strikeforce LW title back in August with Rafael getting the win via tko. King Mo currently is out until next year due to knee surgery while Cavalcante currently has nothing scheduled.#10 Gegard Mousasi has won two fights in Dream since losing his Strikeforce LW title to King Mo. His last of which was in September. He currently doesn’t have an opponent scheduled yet.

Middleweight

1. Anderson Silva
2. Chael Sonnen
3. Nate Marquardt
4. Vitor Belfort
5. Ronaldo Souza
6. Jorge Santiago
7. Demian Maia
8. Yushin Okami
9. Wanderlei Silva
10. Jason Miller

#1 Anderson Silva eeked out the win against #2 Chael Sonnen in a fight which Sonnen had in his pocket. Since then, Sonnen tested positive for PED’s and Silva, with reportedly already injured ribs, is out until next year. Silva is set to fight #4 Vitor Belfort when he comes back in a fight schedule for Febuary 5th 2011. With the injury history of Belfort, who hasn’t fought since KO’ing unranked Rich Franklin last September, chances seem slim that this fight will happen.

#3 Nate Marquardt got back on the winning side getting a tko win against unranked Rousimar Palhares. This win earned him a shot at #8 Yushin Okami in November at UFC 122, a spot which was vacated by Belfort.

#5 Ronaldo Souza won the vacant Strikeforce MW title getting the unanimous decision against unranked Tim Kennedy. Souza is currently riding a 4 fight unbeaten streak. He currently has no planned opponent. #6 Jorge Santiago barely defended his Sengoku MW title last August at Sengoku 14 against unranked Kazua Misaki. Santiago, who has lost 1 fight in his last 12, currently doesn’t have a scheduled opponent.

#7 Demian Maia, who has 1 win since getting dominated by Anderson Silva, is scheduled to take on unranked Kendall Grove December 4th at The TUF finale. #9 Wanderlei Silva last fought in Feburary when he defeated unranked Michael Bisping. He was scheduled to take on unranked Yoshihiro Akiyama, but had to pull out due a rib injury. #10 Jason Miller is riding a 2 fight winning streak, after a near win over Jake Shields, his latest against a *don’t even want to type this* faded Kazushi Sakuraba. Miller will fight in the Strikeforce Mw tournament, or wait it out for a unranked catch weight fight with Nick Diaz.

Welterweight

1. Georges Pierre
2. Jon Fitch
3. Jake Shields
4. Thiago Alves
5. Josh Koscheck
6. Martin Kampmann
7. Paulo Thiago
8. Paul Daley
9. Carlos Condit
10. Dan Hardy

#1 GSP hasn’t lost since getting tko’d by unranked Matt Serra over 3 years ago. His next challenge will be a rematch with #5 Josh Koscheck, who he’s also a rival coach on the latest installment of The Ultimate Fighter. The fight will be for GSP’s WW title.

#2 Jon Fitch continues to bide his time waiting for a rematch. Fitch hasn’t lost a fight since losing to GSP, which is a lot of rounds considering he has had unanimous decisions in the 5 fights since then. He is currently the #1 contender. #3 Jake Shields brings his 14 fight win streak to the UFC taking on #6 Martin Kampmann, who is on a 2 fight win streak of his own. The fight will be Shields first in the UFC.

#4 Thiago Alves is on a 2 fight losing streak and will face the dreaded 3 fight losing streak if he takes on unranked John Howard on December 11 at UFC 124. The fight could be Alves’ last at WW.
#7 Paulo Thiago is set to fight unranked Diego Sanchez at UFC 121 on October 23rd. Thiago needs this fight to stay relevant in the top ten picture while Sanchez needs the fight to stay relevant at all.

#8 Paul Daley won’t have this problem as he has signed a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce following his 3 round unanimous decision against former street fighter, Jorge Masvidal, who also signed a deal with Strikeforce. Daley is set to face unranked but always exciting Scott Smith at Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu on December 4th.

#9 Carlos Condit is still finding ways to win in the UFC. He is riding a 2 fight winning streak into UFC 120, in which he’ll face #10 Dan Hardy in a fight that will keep one of them in the top 10.

Lightweight

1. Frank Edgar
2. Gilbert Melendez
3. Shinya Aoki
4. Eddie Alvarez
5. Gray Maynard
6. Tatsuya Kawajiri
7. Kenny Florian
8. Josh Thomson
9. Sean Sherk
10. Evan Dunham

He did it again. #1 Frankie Edgar showed the first Penn defeat wasn’t a fluke as he went on to win 5 more rounds against #5 BJ Penn. Penn has never lost 2 fights in a row at 155, he will be moving to WW in the next update he is currently set to face unranked Matt Hughes at UFC 123 while Edgar is set to fight #6 Gray Maynard at UFC 125 on New Year Day.

#2 Gilbert Melendez, who is riding a 4 fight winning streak, hasn’t fought since dominating #3 Shinya Aoki. He revealed he had an injury on MMA Live. He currently has no planned opponent. #3 Shinya Aoki has won 2 fights since losing to Melendez. He is scheduled to fight unranked Yokthai Sithoar Octorber 24th. #7 Tatsuya Kawajiri hasn’t fought since losing his bout to Aoki and currently has nothing scheduled.

#8 Kenny Florian lost to #6 Gray Maynard via unanimous decision. He currently has no planned opponent either. #10 Evan Dunham lost the first fight of his career to #9 Sean Sherk via a split decision. The fight could have gone either way however and Dunham’s stock should still go up in the future. Mention to #11 Gesias Calvancanti is set to fight Josh Thompson October 9th at Strikeforce:Diaz Vs. Noons II.

Featherweight

1. Jose Aldo
2. Michihiro Omigawa
3. Marlon Sandro
4. Hatsu Hioki
5. Manny Gamburyan
6. Mike Brown
7. Josh Grispi
8. Bibiano Fernandes
9. Joe Warren
10. Kazuyuki Miyata

#1 Jose Aldo looked very impressive in his win over now #8 BW Urijah Faber. He’s currently set to face #5 Manny Gamburyan. Michihiro Omigawa is riding a 5 fight winning streak recently beating Cole Escovedo at Dream 16. He has yet to announce his next opponent. Marlon Sandro won the WVR FW title defeating Masanori Kanehara back in June. He currently doesn’t have an opponent scheduled. # 4 Hatsu Hioki last fought in August defeating Jeff Lawson via triangle choke. Hioki currently has no planned opponent. #6 Mike Brown, who is coming off a first round ko lose to Gamburyan, is set to fight unranked Cole Province at WEC 51 September 30th.

Bantamweight

1.Dominick Cruz
2.Brian Bowles
3.Joseph Benavidez
4.Miguel Torres
5.Rani Yahya
6.Damacio Page
7.Scott Jorgenson
8.Uriah Faber
1. Fabricio Werdum, 14-4
2. Fedor Emelianenko, 31-2
3. Junior Dos Santos, 10-1
4. Brock Lesnar, 5-1
5. Cain Velasquez, 8-0
6. Alistair Overeem, 33-11
7. Antonio Silva, 14-2

Heavyweight

1. Fabricio Werdum, 14-4
2. Fedor Emelianenko, 31-2
3. Junior Dos Santos, 10-1
4. Brock Lesnar, 5-1
5. Cain Velasquez, 8-0
6. Alistair Overeem, 33-11
7. Antonio Silva, 14-2
8. Shane Carwin, 12-1
9. Frank Mir, 13-5
10. Antonio Nogueira, 32-6

Fedor finally broke his unbeaten streak with a loss to Werdum. One could argue Brock should have to lose as well, to stay below Fedor but with his recent defeat of Shane Carwin, Brock doesnt move up the ladder. Junior Dos Santos gets to fight a fat guy. That sums up our top 4. Carwin looked impressive almost taking out the HW champ but wasn’t able to finish off before getting choked out. Junior Dos Santos will get a chance to show us if Burger King is for real. A loss can really hurt his status as the next big thing to take over the division. A win should garner him a shot at the winner of the Lesnar/Velasquez fight coming up in October at UFC 121.

#6 Alistar Overeem was officially declared the next HW to take on the legend that is Fedor. This was after he treated currently unranked Brett Rogers like his bitch but before Fedor met a triangle he couldn’t refuse. Since then, Overeem was rumored to fight Ricco Rodriguez at Dream 15, which didn’t happen. He’s currently doesn’t have a fight scheduled.

#7 Mir and #8 Nogueria are set for a rematch at UFC 119. Mir needs this fight to prove the first one wasn’t a fluke while Nogueria is looking to stay relevant in the HW division. #9 Fabricio Werdum shocked the world by landing a triangle on Fedor. He’s currently enjoying being the only man to hold victories over both Emelianenko brothers while Fedor is reportedly trying to secure a rematch.

Light Heavyweight

1. Mauricio Rua, 19-4
2. Lyoto Machida, 16-1
3. Rashad Evans, 20-1
4. Antonio Noguiera, 19-3
5. Forrest Griffin, 17-6
6. Quinton Jackson, 30-8
7. Mo Lawal, 7-0
8. Gegard Mousasi, 28-3
9. Thiago Silva, 14-2
10. Jon Jones, 10-1

The top three remain the same for our LW division. Yeah Rashad Evans won while Machida lost, but Machida did KO Evans before he ran into the machine that is Mauricio Rua.

Antônio Rogério Nogueira knocked Luiz Cane both out in the first round and out of our top ten back in November. Rogerio continues to compile wins with a split decision over Jason Brilz in May. Even if it was a bit of a robbery.

#5.Forrest Griffin got back on the winning track and avenged a loss with the headliner at UFC 106, albeit against a shot Tito Ortiz. Griffin was set to take on current #4 Noguiera but had to pull out due to injury. #6. Quinton Jackson has fought once since our last rankings, that being his loss to Evans, so he moves down some. He currently has nothing scheduled although there are rumors he’s aiming for a rematch with Forrest Griffin.

Thiago Silva moves down a spot. Winning 1 out of your last 3 fights will do that. He has an upcoming fight against always game Tim Boetsch which should be entertaining while it lasts. Even if it doesn’t help his ranking much.

Jon Jones begins his ascent into the Ninjashoes top ten. While he’s 1-1 since we did our last rankings, his only ‘loss’ on his record is the DQ against Matt Hamill, even though he was dominating every moment up until that point. He also destroyed Brandon Vera in a 1st round TKO back in March. Jones headlines another VS card coming up against August facing very tough Vladimir Matyushenko, who is on a 3 fight win streak.

Strikefore’s Mo Lawal makes his debut in our top ten by looking really impressive in dominating #8.Gegard Mousasi in a 5 round unanimous decision to win the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight belt. It’s recently been announced Mo will fight currently unranked Rafael Cavalcante in his first defense.

Middleweight

1. Anderson Silva, 26-4
2. Jake Shields, 25-4
3. Chael Sonnen, 25-10
4. Dan Henderson, 25-8
5. Vitor Belfort, 19-8
6. Nate Marquardt, 31-9
7. Jorge Santiago, 22-7
8. Demian Maia, 12-2
9. Yushin Okami, 24-5
10. Mamed Khalidov, 20-4

#1 Anderson Silva will face #3 Chael ‘the Shit Talker’ Sonnen coming up August 7th. Hopefully Sonnen is able to put up a better fight then previous victims #8 Damien Maia, Forrest Griffin and currently unranked Thales Leites all of whom were soundly defeated. #2 Jake Shields put on an impressive performance dominating #5 Dan Henderson for 25 minutes, adding to his win streak. He’s currently confirmed to be signed with the UFC and likely facing Kampmann.

#5 Vitor Belfort has yet to fight since putting on a dominating performance against Rich Franklin. He’s set to face the winner of Silva/Sonnen.

#6 Nate Marquardt looks to get back on top after getting dominated by Sonnen. He’s set to face unranked but tough Rousimar “im taking your foot with me” Palhares August 28th at UFC 118.

#7 Jorge Santiago avenged his defeat against #10 Mamed Khalidov at Sengoku 12 to take back the MW title. He hasn’t fought since Khalidov has drawn with Ryuta Sakurai.

#9 Yushin Okami got back into the winning column by defeating Lucio Linhares at UFC Fight Night:Florian vs. Gomi. He’s currently set to square off against unranked Mark Munoz, who is currently on a 3 fight winning streak.

Welterweight

1. Georges Pierre, 20-2
2. Jon Fitch, 25-3
3. Thiago Alves, 12-3
4. Jake Shields, 25-4
5. Martin Kampmann, 17-3
6. Josh Koscheck, 17-4
7. Paul Daley, 22-9
8. Paulo Thiago, 13-2
9. Nick Diaz, 22-7
10. Carlos Condit, 25-5

GSP continues to rule the WW division with an iron fist. He has an upcoming battle with current #6 Josh Kosheck at UFC 123 coming up in December. Koscheck earned that right by dominating #7 Paul Daley, who earned his way out of the UFC by sucker punching Koshceck after the fight was over.

#2 Jon Fitch is co-headlining UFC 117 in a fight with #3 Thiago Alves. Fitch has been foaming at the mouth for another shot at GPS every since his domination back at UFC 87. He's since gone 4-0 in his last 4 fights, albeit all wins are by unanimous decision. Alves is coming off getting dominated by the aforementioned GSP and is hoping to not fade away in the WW division with a win.

#5 Martin Kampann takes on newly signed #4 Jake Shields, who is moving down in weight upon entering the UFC.

#9 Nick Diaz continued his winning streak adding a faded and currently unranked Hayato Sakurai to his list of wins in a row, which currently at 7.

#10 Carlos Condit pulled out an exciting win when he beat Rory MacDonald by tko back in June. He takes on currently unranked Dan Hardy at UFC 120. Mention to John Hathaway who knocked Hardy out of the top ten by beating Diego Sanchez easily. Sanchez, currently unranked, was making his return to the division.

Lightweight

1. Frank Edgar, 12-1
2. BJ Penn, 15-6
3. Gilbert Melendez, 18-2
4. Shinya Aoki, 23-5
5. Eddie Alvarez, 19-2
6. Kenny Florian, 14-4
7. Tatsuya Kawajiri, 26-5
8. Gray Maynard, 8-0
9. Sean Sherk, 37-4
10. Evan Dunham, 11-0

Well both our former #1 and #2 LW’s suffered defeats. BJ was beat by decision to Frankie Edgar, who left BJ looking confused while Aoki was dominated by Gilbert Melendez for 5 rounds in his first fight in America. Aoki has since taken out #7 Tatsuya Kawajiri with a quick submission, making Melendez look all the more impressive .

#5 Eddie Alvarez continues to do his thing over in Bellator gaining a win over name opponent Josh Neer. He currently is schedule to defend his LW belt against Pat Curran.

#6 Kenflo hasn’t fought since March, when he beat unranked Takanori Gomi via rear naked choke. He currently is set to take on #8 Gray Maynard at UFC 118 coming up on August, which should go a long way to securing a solid ranking in the top 5 for one of the two.

#9 Sean Sherk hasn’t fought since he was defeated by #1 ranked Edgar, which doesn’t look so bad now. He was scheduled to fight Clay Guida but couldn’t compete due to an injury. He is currently set to fight #10 Evan Dunham in September at UFC 119. Mention to Josh Thomson got back in the win column by scoring a rear naked choke over Pat Healy at Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Werdum back in June, he was just knocked out of the top ten by Evan Dunham.

Heavyweight

1. Fedor Emelianenko
2. Brock Lesnar
3. Shane Carwin
4. Junior Dos Santos
5. Frank Mir
6. Cain Velasquez
7. Antonio Nogueira
8. Brett Rogers
9. Andrei Arlovski
10. Alistaire Overeem

Notables are Barnett, Werdum, Kongo

The top 3 spots haven't changed and continue their reign of dominance. Frank Mir becomes the latest victim of currently undefeated Shane Carwin’s Tysonesque streak, after a year lay off when his fight with champ Lesner was cancelled, he is the #1 challenger again. Cain Velasquez moves up to #6 after a dominating first round defeat of mma legend Antonio Nogueria, who moves down to #7. Junior Dos Santos move to number 4. He's been beating up pride classics Mirko, Yvel and recently Gabriel Gonzaga. #8 Brett Rogers has a chance to establish his ranking in the top ten with an upcoming tilt against current strikeforce Heavyweight champ, Alistair Overeem. Arlovski gets back in the cage in a fight with Antonio Silva. #10 Fabricio Werdum is still waiting for his chance to take on #1 Fedor Emelianenko which could happen in June.

Light Heavyweight

1. Mauricio Rua
2. Lyoto Machida
3. Rashad Evans
4. Quinton Jackson
5. Antonio Noguiera
6. Gegard Mousasi
7. Forrest Griffin
8. Thiago Silva
9. Luiz Cane
10. Ryan Bader

Notables are winners of Franklin, Couture and Jones.

Bader get Jardine's gatekeeper role. Stone kept on a'rolling in the LHW division. The only changes are the switch of #8 Thiago Silva and #9 Luiz Cane. While both suffered losses, Silva's fight was fairly competitive and actually went the distance. Also,Bader takes the spot filled by Keith Jardine who is on a 3 fight losing streak. The upcoming Vera-Jones fight might see the winner taking a long sniff at the top ten depending on if the winner scores something impressive.

Middleweight

1. Anderson Silva
2. Chael Sonnen
3. Dan Henderson
4. Vitor Belfort
5. Jake Shields
6. Nate Marquardt
7. Demian Maia
8. Jorge Santiago
9. Yushin Okami
10. Robbie Lawler

Notables are Khalidov, Akiyama and Souza

Chael Sonnen surprised many by dominated former #2 in every facet of the game when the two last met in Feburary. Enough to where some sites have place him #1 in the MW division. He should get a title shot next and upon winning, will take over the spot. Until then, the Spider remain #1. Dan Henderson has an upcoming brawl with current Strikeforce MW Champ and #5 ranked Jake Shields coming up in April which might move him past Chael upon winning. #4 Vitor, still hasn't fought Silva due to inuries from both sides, so #7 Damian Maia is stepping up in Abu Dhabi at UFC 112 to see if he can take the belt. #10 Robbie Lawler returns to the top 10 with an exciting fight against the ever dangerous Melvin Manhoef in which he snatched victory out of nowhere with one punch.

Welterweight

1. Georges Pierre
2. Jon Fitch
3. Thiago alves
4. Paulo Thiago
5. Josh Koscheck
6. Diego Sanchez
7. Nick Diaz
8. Paul Daley
9. Martin Kampmann
10. Dan Hardy

Notable are Zaromkis, Kim, Hughes, Condit

GSP defeats #10 Dan Hardy to retain the title. #5 Josh Koscheck is riding a 2 fight winning streak and takes on a very game opponent in #8 Paul Daley, who recently brought a lot of excitement with him into the UFC having knocked out his last 5 opponents in the first round. Diego's move down to WW grants him a spot fairly high in the top ten. Going 5 rounds with Penn will do that despite getting schooled. Nick Diaz has taken out some of the biggest names at Strikeforce, which doesn't say much in the way of competition, but it's the way he's winning that's been the most impressive. Taking out former #9 Marius Zaromskis for the Strikeforce WW Title sits Diaz at #7.

Lightweight

1. BJ Penn
2. Shinya Aoki
3. Eddie Alvarez
4. Tatsuya Kawajiri
5. Kenny Florian
6. Gray Maynard
7. Frank Edgar
8. Gesias Calvancanti
9. Gilbert Melendez
10. Sean Sherk

Notables are Hirota, Yakota, Thomson, Griffon

Penn and Aoki have both just had dominating performances (Penn over Sanchez/Aoki over #10 Hirota) and they both have tough challenges ahead with Penn taking on Frankie Edgar and Aoki fighting Strikeforce Lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez. It's hard to believe that if Aoki gives another performance like he did against Hirota, he won't get the nod over BJ but if Penn also hands in another dominating performance against Edgar then he will remain the #1. Gray Maynard is still undefeated. The only thing keeping him from a shot at the UFC title is that his last 6 wins have went to decision. (Last 2 were split decision). Had these been KO's or Subs, he'd probably be there. . Kenny is still on the road back after losing to Penn. He quickly erased that loss last night with a submission over Takanori Gomi, who looked terrible, again...

Featherweight

1. Jose Aldo
2. Mike Brown
3. Uriah Faber
4. Hatsu Hioki
5. Masanori Kanehara
6. Michihiro Omigawa
7. Marlon Sandro
8. Bibiano Fernandes
9. Rafael Assuncao
10. Takeshi Inoue

Notables are LC Davis, Taurosevičius, Hansen

Bantamweight

1. Dominick Cruz
2. Brian Bowles
3. Joseph Benavidez
4. Miguel Torres
5. Masakatsu Ueda
6. Rani Yahya
7. Damacio Page
8. Scott Jorgenson
9. Koetsu Okazaki
10. Masakazu Imanari

Notables are Mizugaki, Ribeiro, Yamamoto

7. Brett Rogers
8. Andrei Arlovski
9. Fabricio Werdum
10. Cain Velasquez

Notables: Barnett, Overeem

Fedor is still at #1 after the defeat of #6 Brett Rogers. Rogers showed a little moxy, but wasn’t able to pull off the upset. Brock is still in a holding pattern due to having a hole in his intestine. As long as there’s hope he’s going to fight,he’ll remain at #2.
Frank Mir has bulked up considerably and looked very dangerous dismantling Cheick Kongo at UFC 107 in the first round. #5 Nogueria won’t fight until Feb against hot prospect Cain Velasquez which will be a good guage to see if Velasquez is ready to make a run for the title. Shane Carwin still sits on the shelf due to his bout with Lesnar being canceled. Arlovski is in talks with Strikeforce, where he would make a nice addition. Fabricio Werdums win over Bigfoot Silva keeps him still relevant and still
in contention for a possible match up with #1, Fedor.

Light heavy weight
1. Mauricio Rua
2. Lyoto Machida
3. Rashad Evans
4. Quinton Jackson
5. Gegard Mousasi
6. Antonio Noguiera
7. Forrest Griffin
8. Luiz Cane
9. Thiago Silva
10. Keith Jardine

Notables: Couture, Sobral, Franklin

Shogun’s performance against unbeaten Lyoto Machida earns him the top spot but not the coveted belt, as the judges saw the fight differently then the fans.

Rashad won’t get his shot at Quinton Jackson due to a remake of the cult classic,’A-Team’ but will get to sharpen his teeth on #9 Thiago Silva. Someone’s 1 has got to go…Doesn’t have the same ring to it.
#5 Gegard Mousasi fought and beat the unranked,Predator Sokoudjou in a surprisingly competitive bout. He still remains the best LHW outside of the UFC. With Strikeforces recent acquisitions (Manhoef, Henderson) we’ll get to see him tested more. #6 Antonio Noguiera displayed a dominate performance against unranked #8 Luiz Cane knocking him out in 2 minutes, awesome debut. Forrest Griffin put on yet another workman-like performance to take out Tito who after the fight said he needed another 18 months to properly recouperate. #10 Jardine has a fight coming up in Febuary to both try to stay relevant in the top ten and stay in the UFC as it could possibly be his dreaded 3rd loss in a row.

Middleweight
1. Anderson Silva
2. Nate Marquardt
3. Dan Henderson
4. Vitor Belfort
5. Jake Shields
6. Demian Maia
7. Chael Sonnen
8. Mamed Khalidov
9. Jorge Santiago
10. Yushin Okami

Notables: Akiyama, Milller, Lawler, Misaki

Anderson remains at #1. Dan Henderson has officially moved to Strikeforce. It looks as if Strikeforce is getting more talent so if he keeps on winning, he should remain high in the top ten.
Nate Marquardt hasn’t fought since August’s 21 second KO against #5 Demian Maia but is scheduled to take on #7 Chael Sonnen at UFC 109. Vitor Belfort remains in a holding pattern due to Silva having surgery. Looks like Belfort will wait his turn instead of remaining active.
Jorge Santiago got KO’d in the first round against unheralded Mamed Khalidov in a non-titled bout. Yushin Okami’s big comeback sputtered out as he lost his return bout to Chael Sonnen. While Jake Shields put in 5 hard fought rounds against ‘Mayhem’ Miller to win the vacant Strikeforce Middleweight title.

Welterweight
1. Georges Pierre
2. Jon Fitch
3. Thiago Alves
4. Paulo Thiago
5. Josh Koscheck
6. Matt Hughes
7. Dan Hardy
8. Karo Parisyan
9. Marius Zaromskis
10. Hayato Sakurai

Notables: Diaz, Kim, Hathaway

GSP stays at #1 while the other contend for the right to get beat by him. Jon Fitch is slowly working up to a rematch, hedefeats Mike Pierce at UFC 107.#3 Thiago Alves was supposed to take on Fitch but is still out with an injury.#4 Thiago and #5 Koscheck will fight at UFC 109 to win the right to who gets to talk shit about GSP next.#6 Matt Hughes is rumored to fight another Gracie, Renzo, but it appears his days
at #1 on the list are gone he may very well take Karo’s unofficial gatekeeper role as #7 Karo won’t see any action in the UFC for awhile, and should drop off gradually due to inactivity. Hopefully he can get his life together. #8 Marius Zaromskis has been making a lot of noise over in Japan as his last 3 fights have been won with help from a head kick. He signed a deal with Strikeforce to he can get some exposure in the States. Dan Hardy has been making noise too, but it’s because some feel he doesn’t deserve a shot at GSP, which he is rumored to be getting. Hayato Sakurai hasn’t fought since getting headkicked by #8 Zaromskis. Maybe rumors about his being over the hill were a bit premature due to Zaromskis becoming the next big thing at 170. Sakurai needs another fight to show us.

Lightweight
1. BJ Penn
2. Shinya Aoki
3. Eddie Alvarez
4. Tatsuya Kawajiri
5. Kenny Florian
6. Joachim Hansen
7. Gesias Calvancanti
8. Mizuto Hirota
9. Gray Maynard
10. Diego Sanchez

Notables: Edgar, Thomson, Melendez,

Penn dominated Sanchez at 107. Aoki still hold claim to #2. He has a fight coming up at Dynamite!!2009 against Crusher #4. Joachim Hansen hasn’t fought since getting beat by Aoki and has nothing
scheduled. Gesias Calvancanti hasn’t won in his last 3 fights, but they were all against fighters ranked higher than him so he keeps his spot until someone gets a dominate win. Kenny Florian couldn’t take down the champ but he begins his comeback with a impressive win over Clay Guida. Mizuto Hirota has yet to defend his Sengoku LW belt since he won it in August.#9 . Maynard keeps beating name opponents while
waiting for a shot a the big time. He will take on unranked Nate Diaz at UFC Fight Night 20 in January.

Featherweight
1. Jose Aldo
2. Mike Brown
3. Uriah Faber
4. Takeshi Inoue
5. Hatsu Hioki
6. Masanori Kanehara
7. Michihiro Omigawa
8. Mackens Semerzier
9. Wagnney Fabiano
10. Bibiano Fernandes

Aldo takes the belt with his win over Mike Brown and the top spot.

Bantamweight
1. Brian Bowles
2. Miguel Torres
3. Masakatsu Ueda
4. Takeya Mizugaki
5. Akitoshi Tamura
6. Dominick Cruz
7. Joseph Benavidez
8. Rani Yahya
9. Damacio Page
10. Koetsu Okazaki

Bowles with his upset over Torres moves him to the top though I expect Torres to take back his belt in the rematch.
