It seems XBOX 360 is slightly better in the early stages of battle.

Looks like they have different gamma settings on the ps3 shots. They look way too close to give a damn especially considering theey are ports of existing games or games that were co developed on a newer piece of hardware. Its really gonna come down to which system gets the better exclusive games.

no, if you changed the gamma/brightness of the tv their would be no difference.

I've heard people arguing about which has the better graphics. Even if you think the PS3 has better graphics there is no way it is significant enough to justify paying so much more for one than the Xbox 360. I don't give a fuck what Ps3 does, I'm happy with my 360.

nah its just the graphics card on the ps3 makes for sharper imagers and the 360 focuses more on the shadows and lighting effects.

you hit the nail right on the head there. we have our ps3 and 360 demos set up right next to eachother in my store, and the only difference i see is that the ps3 has a sharper more crisp look, but the 360 has richer and more vibrant colors. granted this is just set on dinky little 20 inch HD LCDs, but its a pretty honest setup, since no one that works in the department they are in is smart enough to dick around with settings on the televisions they are displayed on. picturture wise neither look bad, its more a question of personal preference to graphic styles.
