Jermaine Taylor defends his title tonight against Kasim Ouma on HBO. Ever since the first time I saw Taylor (on ESPN or FSN?) I thought he would be GREAT. Still, he rose to the top faster than I imagined. He now is the king of the mountain, but Kasim Ouma is an extremely agressive fighter who overwhelms most opponents with sheer effort. Although Ouma isn't a power puncher, he throws an amazing amount of punches that take their toll.

Damn, I was real impressed with Ouma's heart. After the first 30 seconds of the fight I said "shit, Taylor is way too big, he's going to knock Ouma out quick" but even after taking some huge shots OUMA was the one who was stalking Taylor and putting the pressure on him. He is ballsy as hell and I hope he made some fans last night besides me.

Yeah, props to Ouma, he showed some definite heart.. Taylor just outclassed him though.
