can someone tell me how to do a few simple things please


1. how do i put other guys quotes in my replies "in the box"
2. if i wish to post a picture in a response how do i do that, ive been using the quick response would it be easier the other way, i can put pics in a thread i start but not a response

click that and put the url to the image you want in that pop up.

okay now how do i get the url to the image

assume a take a pic from the net, save it to my pictures, how do i enter the url (i don't know what that means)

the url is the web address to anything whether it be a site an image or whatever.If you want to post something of yours you will have to get it hosted,there are several free sites that will do this for you:

http://www.tinypic.com
http://www.imageshack.com
you'll have to sign up but it's all good.
otherwise you can hotlink(which is sorta frowned upon because it steals other peoples bandwidth)
when you get this far ask more questions as needed.

i got the photo bucket part, i have no prob taking my own pics and putting them in

pics off a net page is my next problem, please explain hotlink

ive been copying the address of pics and pasting in the url box but that gives me an X, even with jpeg at the end, it seems to work at first but then turns into an x

right click on an image and go to properties.
the url of the image'll be in there.
copy.
and paste it in the add image thingy.

also, some sites don't allow hotlinking and the pic might show up at first, but it'll disappear shortly after...

that's whats happening
