RIP John, you are truly missed. Just throwing this tribute thread here for anyone who is a big fan of John's to step up and show some respect.

I personally think the Beatles > all music created since.

Not a big time beatles fan here, but i can appreciate all that they've inspired since then. Lennon did some cool solo stuff as well.

I own every Beatles album, and the ability to play classical to hardrock music is insane. To this day, Paul McCartney has been able to release ill albums, and John Lennon was the "best" Beatle in my opinion.

RIP John, your impact on people around the world was truly amazing

I've always tried ranking which Beatle was my favorite, and I find it almost impossible. They each had their own unique style they brought to the table. As solo artists, they each suit a different mood you may be in. Together, they create music you can listen to and appreciate no matter how you feel.

I feel John's music was more painful, thoughtful, and experimental. Paul's was more oriented at good times and simple, safe-for-music emotions like love. George was totally spiritual lyrically and I feel just as experimental instrumentally, if not more so, than John. Ringo... well, he had a couple of old-style-rock-and-roll songs.

I've always considered George my favorite, but over the years they have all almost leveled off.

beatles are not bad. they definately have some awesome songs. i'm not a huge fan or anything, but i can appreciate the influence john and the others had on all music to come after them.

I like 'Imagine' by Lennon. I don't know if its because of Monson's walk in or something else but I really like that song.

My rankings:

John- No need to explain
George- Wrote well when needed. Awesome sitar songs. Very Unique style, even among Beatles. Did a lot of the "odd" songs.
Paul- Very good and has stayed contemporary. I loved his voice too. Able to write many good "love" songs. He and George are pretty much even in ranking IMO lol.
Ringo- Decent drummer and good voice. Just not nearly as "creative". Clearly the worst Beatle. He pwnd Pete Best tho.

Everything comes down to rankings on this site. lol
