first came across Shibata during NJPW's 2003 G-1 Climax and he struck me as a potential star then with a great match against Shinsuke Nakamura which was in the next years tourney i think. Some good stuff in Big Mouth Loud and now NOAH. Excellent young fighter

man, i wish Shibata had stuck with New Japan instead of going freelance. if he did, i think he'd be as big of a star as Tanahashi and Nakamura. hopefully someone will at least feed Shibata a double cheeseburger or something, he needs to eat a little more or something. cause his body is getting hurt takin those bumps with as little muscle as he has.

he is definitely an intense wrestler and draws people in.
