Well, Jason Delucia DOES NOT post here! This has been confirmed by Jason himself. I emailed Jason yesterday VIA his website and he responded today. Please see my email below and Jason's prompt response. (Jason posts on other forums and this person probably just copied and pasted the post.)

ME:
Hi Jason, First of all I hope all is well. Secondly, could you please confirm if it is in fact you that posts in the Ninjashoes.net Martial Arts Forum. If it is in fact you then I will share the information with the Ninjashoes community and quiet some of the uncalled for fighter bashing which often takes place. Possibly because they find it hard to believe that it's really you that is making the posts. As you know, people often assume fighters names for their own username on forums. This can get confusing in some instances.

Thanks Jason!

Any reply would be appreciated.

Take Care.

Here is the thread and user ID in question: http://ninjashoes.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8050

JASON DELUCIA:
"i appreciate that some one would spend the time to represent my name ,but it is not me writing it .tell them from me thanx for putting my name out there .it would be a fairly good docudrama .but the facts of intent are not completely correct .also some facts are slightly askew ." - Jason

UPDATE: Just received a second email

I just sent this on the ninjashoes.net/forum Contact form:

I am Jason DeLucia's business manager. Jason received email asking if
it was really him posting on your forum and giving the URL of a
thread. Jason has never registered on your site, so I registered as
"wer" to read over the 29 threads posted by your bogus "Jason
DeLucia." The good news is, they are not completely horrible,
although Jason does not spell that badly and the opinions voiced in
the posts do not in all cases match Jason's.

I'm surprised that no-one tried to get in touch with Jason before
giving your "Jason DeLucia" a pro fighter tag. Most forums put pros
through the wringer to make sure they are who they say they are, to
avoid embarrassing situations like the one on Sherdog a few years ago
when someone passed himself off as a pro for a long time before he was
caught as an imposter. Please disable the bogus "Jason DeLucia"
account and post telling people that he is a fraud. He hasn't posted
anything horrible, but Jason can't allow people to go around
pretending to be him.

We would like very much to get in touch with the person purporting to
be Jason DeLucia on your site. Would it be possible for you to send
his email address to Jason at Jason_DeLucia@yahoo.com ?

If you want to verify that I speak for the real Jason DeLucia, please
go to his website jasondelucia.com and send email to the Contact at
that site, which goes to Jason_DeLucia@yahoo.com -- put something in
that message and give us a contact email or phone number to reply to,
and we will be glad to respond.

Thank you very much for your assistance. I will also email this
message to Jason, to sharpshooter@comic.com who sent me my
registration welcome email, and to FlyingSquirrel who let us know that
someone was posting as Jason on ninjashoes.net

No, it is not. I emailed him directly off of his website. Also, I was the only person who thought that it may really be him that was posting because he posts on other forums. I also have a Myspace contact that knows Jason and he stated that it was not him either.

Click on his website as well and you will see a list of sites that he posts on. We are not listed. I'm sure that someone just copied one of his posts and made a thread.

I got caught

Im MMAsterK...

First of all, I did it because I respected the guy's unique views and tactics in the sport. I find him to be very intriguing and obviously I love MMA and have watched Jason fight in the past. Second of all, I did it because it may attract other pro fighters to this site if they see someone posting here. Also, I didn't want to choose someone like "Fedor" that would be unbelievable and nonsensical. There are so many "trolls" the site, that I chose one that I could a side-name to possibly do credibly, and although it started as a little game, it escalated, and I began following even more of what Jason has been upto since he dropped from what I would consider the "public spotlight". I would be more than happy to talk to Jason, as I have much respect and admiration for him and what he has done in his career.

It was funny the way everyone forgot that Jason is a douche, during the stint they thought he was posting here.

The Bas fight is irrefutable evidence that he is a cheater, and any post he made on sherdog to try to regain credibility only lost him more. I'm perplexed that he still has fans.

I admit, it was me.
Ever heard of emailing invitations to pros asking them to join? That's the standard method, and tends to work much better than impersonation. Identity theft's not exactly a good way to make friends.

And while we're on the subject of fakers... unless the site admin verifies it, how do we know that it was really you? You might be impersonating the Jason impersonator. See that? Now that you've lent credence to the culture of skepticism, where does it stop??

FlyingSquirrel, thanks for outing him. He didn't just copy Jason's posts from other forums, though; he wrote completely new posts based mainly on reading Jason's opinions elsewhere. I have to admit, it was a good job -- except that his spelling was far worse than Jason's.

Eamer, it doesn't reflect well on the site that a senior member is fighter bashing. But since you brought it up, everyone should look at the two stills on aikidog showing two of the debated punches, then should go rewatch the fights on their Bas Rutten Career DVD with the commentary turned off to just watch instead of hearing Bas's voiceover. And remember, Bas got a yellow card in that fight, which means the ref believed Jason.

You'll have to cut&paste the URLs due to this site's posting requirement:

And your photos are just blurry enough to show absolutely nothing. Try watching the vids with the volume up and your bias down.

p.s. I wasn't fighter bashing. I said he was a cheater because he cheated and I said he was a douche because he is a giant douche, whereas you my self-righteous friend are a turd sandwhich.

Ok before this gets out of hand anymore lets stop this BS. whether or not you are a fan of Jason he still has stepped in the ring and competed all over the world against very legitimate competition. For the sake of helping this community grow I think we should show some respect to Jason and his manager for at least filling us in on the fact that our Jason was a fake. Theres no reason to get nasty or start an argument here, most fighters wont post at forums anymore because of this reason. Im not saying you can't say what you want, of course you can here but Im giving my opinion also. There are two sides to every story whether you believe Bas or Jason it is between them.

I apologize if this caused any problems, as I didnt think it would have any ramifications. Also, Im pretty sure I can verify it was me by writing whatever you would like me to under Jason's name here; or you can just believe me. I also did not just "read" Jason's opinions elsewhere, I have seen the guy fight for years (Pancrase, UFC, and now locally), and I follow Massachusetts MMA. Also, the bad spelling, it was part of the gimmick. Because In the infamous Bas flaming war, Bas criticized Jason's spelling and grammar. Also, I realize Jason may have some negative feelings towards me at this point, and I hope that is not the case, I did not fighter bash, or say anything "stupid" under his name etc.. I hope that he looks at is as I did, as a practical joke, and I would be honored if he would begin posting here, or at least talking to me about MMA if he would like.
I have been a Jason fan since I first saw him fight years ago. It started off because he was from Bellingham, MA only about an hour away from my home. I love to watch local fighters succeed in the big-time, and being an MMA fan I try not to "write-off" fighters once they lose a little bit of their hype. I am sincerely interested in Jason's mentality behind the sport. And Although I dont necessarily agree with his styles and disciplines, I respect the fact that he isn't "following" the successful trends, and he has been working to create and assimilate his own useful styles to modern mixed martial arts.
Once again, I hope he wasn't offended and I apologize for any inconvenience, although I hope he is happy to have a fan of my caliber and dedication. :)
