View Full Version : why was bush never impeached?
SD_ATOmega119 11-22-2006, 08:58 AM it doesnt make sense he led us into a war by misleading the public...how is that not grounds for impeachment
i mean everyone wanted to impeach clinton for gettin some pussy from an intern....
just to state facts you cant declare a war on an ism (as in terrorism) do we actually think we can kill an ideology?
Tom Stall 11-22-2006, 09:12 AM no point impeaching him now he has only two years left. democrats worried about fixing the war and gettin their own agenda passed. they have control of the house and senate now. its a good and bad thing. they can finally fix the war but if the iraq war doesn't look any better, they will get blamed for it and lose it for the 2008 election. even nancy pelosi stated that this time when the democrats win, they are not out to settle old scores but rather work together. i honestly think if they want to impeach bush, there is no point.
Dr. Bob {ADR} 11-22-2006, 09:25 AM I don't think a president will ever be impeached again without committing some act that can never be covered up and is seen as unforgivable.
The government may hate the president, but the government will never undermine it's own structure. If they do start the impeachment process, it will never finish, like with clinton.
ninjashoes 11-22-2006, 07:08 PM Its hard enough getting people to even admit Bush fucked up, look how long it took us to get to the point where the Iraq was is considered a mistake. Now that the curtains have been somewhat lifted its too late. It would be too hard to pin anything on him because Bush can always say so and so handed me this which said this etc.
xhale 11-22-2006, 10:12 PM the reason bush was never impeached i becuase of the follow.
the republicans had control of the house....
the republicans had control of the senate.
oh yah... and president bush was able to appoint 2 sc justices.
but now that the democrats have control of the house... lets see if they will ever be able to vote down party lines.... doubtful.

i do believe that our Armed Services give us and protect our freedoms, and i respect them greatly for that, but i will NOT fight a war dont believe in.

the democrats are the ones that were thinking about reinstituting the draft.

also, bush may have misled the country into iraq, however he was mainly just going by the faulty intelligence the CIA gave him. The intelligence community is as much if not more to blame. they fucked up on 9/11 too.
btw there were chemical weapons found in iraq, but for some reason they never really made an effort to tell everyone they found some. they werent necessarily able to hit britain or the us, but could travel the distance to hit israel.

first rangel's an asshole too and by bringing up the notion of the draft will make people think twice about ouuru future in iraq...
second, sayin the CIA had faulty information is complete bullshit we have the best espionage agency in the world, and we obviousuly knew wat the deal was...the only reason this "faulty info" thing even came upu was bc Bush needed a skapegoat
third, im pretty sure the chemical weapons found were either remnants of a former program, most of the biological agents found were no where near operational/weapon ready
