I have hated this stupid thing since it was first started back in the day. I think to an extent it works as far as deciding the top 2 teams but for the rest of the top 10 - its just horrible. If you could change the BCS rules what would you do to make the system more fair for all the eligible college teams?

The BCS is currently the best option out there. I've thought about a playoff for the conference champions to determine who will play for the championship, but that wouldn't work due to non conference schools, like powerhouse Notre Dame.

yes thats it...a playoff...take the top 32 teams pair them up, let them play their hearts out for the right to become National Champions. use the bracket system just like they do for march madness. I think that would be the fair way to go. the BCS has a fucked up way to determine the top 10. for instance strength of schedule is one of the ways they determine it, fuck that shit, i'm a diehard Wolverine fan but i'll tell you what..their schedule is nothing compared to notre dame. so in that aspect Notre Dame gets screwed. beleive me i hate the fighting Irish more than the suckeyes but they do get screwed with their schedule.

What really cracks me up is how teams with 1 or 2 losses are still in the top 10 and then you have a team floating around the top 25 with a perfect record like with Boise State, who is ranked #7 this week when they should be in the top 5. I personally wish they'd go by overall record instead of this other crap(points per game, tough schedule, favortism).:assassin:

Not a big fan of the BCS. It seems every year a team will get screwed out of playing in the National Title. This year, it looks like it will be Michigan and Flordia (assuming they win the SEC Title). I dont agree with a plus one because remember these guys are students so it can not extend to long. A plus one is a reasonable option, but take for example this year. Say its OSU v. USC and then FL v. Mich. Say OSU wins and Michigan wins, then they play again in a plus one bowl and this time Mich. wins. Now you really cant determine who is the National Champion, both have one loss against each other. Not a big fan of the BCS, but unless they do a tournament that starts in early Nov. its the best we have.

a playoff system would be the best option...but it wont happen.

the ncaa and the schools would make boat-loads of $ if they went to a tournament style.

you cant begin to think how much they would make, it would be a ridiculas amount of money because you have to figure there would prolly be what 3 weeks of playoffs. thats alot of extra money coming in.
