Cap the member limit?

we are coming up on 2,000 members pretty soon and half of the members are trolls... i say either do some clean up or cap the member limit

personal opinion..

It would really suck if we had to end up getting rid of the fights and highlights forum at some point because we got to big..that is the best thing about it here.Whats the plan if this site get really big? a Cap might not be such a bad idea.

this forum doesent do anythign illegal, posting links to other sites is not illegal. Its megaupload, youtube, rapidshare etc that are breaking the law

dont those sites have a disclaimer telling you not to upload illegal files..if so then it covers their ass and i guess the only poeple who could be liable are those who do the inital uploading of the file.Who are uncatchable...right?

Yeah the have rules against illegal files and it someone reports them they get taken down. Theres nothing illegal about posting links to other sites on a public forum like this though.

the feds will shut you down if you 'condone that type of behaviour', so pretty much if you start getting a lot of members downloading full ppv events etc then they might step in (ie: most of the illegal warez/torrent sites).

i think we should stop taking members at some stage anyways cuz the forums are filling with shit threads.....we still have only probly 50-100 regulars anyways so they wont be missing out

Theres nothing illegal going on here, this site is not reponsible by posts made by users, its a public forum where you can say what you want. If people are trading illegal links then it has nothing to do with me or my site. Users are responsible for their own actions.

The member limit will not be capped, if anything the HL forum will become hidden, invite only or will require a huge amount of posts.

I think you have a good plan..I feel like we are being greedy and i know you want this site to get big, It would just suck if we had to conform to all kinds of rules. this will be a good way to avoid that i think 200 posts is a fair # for the luxury of what the HL forum possesses

i feel it is smaert to hide the HL forum. ok so half the ppl heere are comin here to try and d/l some shit. well make them earn it. if they really wanna d/l some shit make them post and become a worthy member of this community
