Who else plays this? I got Oblivion when it came out and got to about 35 hours after a couple weeks, and then got a gf and had to ship off my xbox for a while when it broke and when I got it back played other games and didn't play it for months. Anyway, I just started a new game and I had already forgot how sweet the game is! The game is the ultimate crack, it will feel like you have only been playing a few minutes, and then you realize the whole day has went by....

Yeah! I bought this game when I bought the system. I never played it, I just read that it was the best game out there. THe graphics and the depth of the game blew me away. I bought my 360 in July sometime, and at this time I have like 80 hours logged onto my account. I was addicted for awhile, I'd come home from work and stay up until 4 in the morning playing it. Great fucking game. I only have 1 oblivion gate closed, I don't really do the missions, I find it more fun to just explore the land and kill bandits for their goods.

I know what you mean about time flying by. During the summer when I was working full time I'd wake up at 9 on my days off, and start playing at around 9:30. When I'm done I look at the clock expecting to see 11:30-12, and its damn near 4.

That world is more interesting than the real world sometimes, which is sad..... I like to call it "Oblivous" sometimes.

I have Oblivion for the PC and its great. I played through the main quest and stopped playing for a while but picked it back up recently with a new character. I am playing through all the side quests and guild quests I didn't get to the first time. That is the best thing about the game, there is so much you can do. The Dark Brotherhood missions are sweet, probably my favorite so far.

I played it and I "beat" it. There's really no beating the game. It's freaking huge.

I'm playing it on the PC , or was playing it. I have to turn the graphics down to mediumish because I'm still on a 9800 pro.Right away I'm missing out on the immersion. It's surprisingly ok to play, I almost stopped playing it a few times .. it would be great if it was an MMO if you know what I mean.I can hardly play singleplayer games anymore, they quickly lose their appeal. The vibrance of the world is what I like the most.Hopefully some developers can bring something similar to the MMO world.

I've never played it but from what I've seen and heard, it looks pretty sweet. My PC only has a very basic graphic card so I would never be able to play it on this. I won't bother putting any money into this one though. Instead, I'm saving up for the ultimate gaming PC :)

Rezn0r you can play Oblivion on your computer with a shitty graphics card. That is what I did, I downloaded Oblivion, and then you go to this website called http://www.oldblivion.com . It's a program that converts it to meet your system needs. It's specifically made for people who don't have a good enough video card to run Oblivion on their computer.

I bought this game cuz I was a fan of Morrowind. I saw Morrowind in the shops and thought.. this looks cool as fuck, and it was man I got lost in its universe for months and then Oblivion hit the shelves.
Fucking fantastic game, dunno if I could go through it again now tho, but Skingrad was my favorite city!

That sucks, that has never happened to me, although the loading times seem to be longer now. The game is still so fucking worth it no matter what though. I can't wait for shivering isles to come out.

Man, I am at the most bullshit part of the game. It is not that I can't get past it, but I am at the part where you have to close the great gate with the huge battle. I am trying to keep Jauffre and Baurus alive, even though it doesn't matter if they die and it is bullshit! I wish I would have done this earlier since most NPC's don't level up in the game and I am at a really high level now, and this game makes the enemies harder as you go along, but unfortunately your allies are shit unless it is early on. Now they are fighting the most bullshit enemies and getting pwned. I have beat the quest several times, but either Jauffre or fucking Baurus end up dead, but I want those bitches so they can help me on the last mission.

I have got past it a bunch of times, just keeping both of these assholes alive, which isn't necessary at all, is a bitch. I am going to try one more time and if one of them dies fuck em.

I rented Oblivion from Blockbuster about half a year ago, played through the main quest and some side quests, but mostly focused on pickpocketing and robbing houses.
Has anyone else encountered the glitch where certain NPC's will follow you clear across the world just to tell you off for picking their pocket or breaking into their house? I had this happen a couple times w/ count Hassildor of Skingrad. He followed me to the Temple of the Ancestor Moths, killed a gang of them and then told me not to go into his room. LoLz...just thought I'd share

It gets really addicting really fast. My tip to the RD bro, don't pick athletics or acrobatics as major skills, as they will level up quickly anyway as long as you walk and jump around.
does anyone know if there are achievements available for the knights of the nine expansion?

I have killed so many hours on this game. It is confusing and intimidating at first, but once you get going it's impossible to stop. Definitely ranks in my top10 games of all time. And the weapons you get once you're buff are awesome. I love you Staff of Banishment.

There are some cheats that still work for the 360, like item duplication, as long as you clear your cache and don't install the updates when it prompts you to.
