I've been looking to boost up my muscle endurance. I heard one of the simpliest ways to do this is to run long distances. However, that's incredibly boring. I run about a 1 - 1 1/2 mile every other day followed by a calisthenic work out. I'm in decent shape I suppose but I want to add in some weight training.

I heard complexes were really good for building up muscle endurance.

and Burpees also.

I've looked around a few other forums and have some ideas of how to get started, but I was wondering if any of my fellow ninjashoers could give some pointers, share experiences etc. Any sort insight would be appreciated.

Low weights and high number of reps doing core strength type workouts. If possible do some strongman type stuff.

i reckon the best way to boost your endurence is just do like tae bo or some shit...check bas ruttens circut training video too...kicks, sprawls, punches...

1hr of that trainign is equal to 2.5 or more of normal excercise

but theres no quick fix. ive been training 5hrs a week for 6 years and although i havent got excellent fitness i can unload over 500-1000 kicks at a training session and be pretty much spent...thats a lot more than running a couple of miles

and burpees are awesome to they hurt like hell...i cant do any more than 35 or 40 lol but i have no upper body strength, i dont need it, so i do a lot of squats

Any kind of explosive training...for example plyometics all help with muscle endurance. You have to get your muscles use to sudden changes from situations that require maximum strength that drop down to barely using at all, then right back up again. You should train as if you were fighting. You never keep up a pace of 110% the entire fight, you intensity levels increase and decrease...you want to mimic that in your workouts.
