Just finished. What a tale!
Has everything: ancient super-beasts, cults, shady Negroes and foreign mongrels (got to love old timey fiction).
Seriously, it's kewl the way he portrays man's astounding ignorance and naiveté in the face of the vast cosmos.

one he was referring to i believe was "Call of Cthulhu". that's the famous one i read, but i thought i read somewhere that Cthulhu may be mentioned in other Lovecraft tales.

Seriously, though....what is with writers going by their first two initials. Off the top of my head: T.S. Elliot, R.L. Stine, Lovecraft, J.R.R. Tolkein (3!)
You'll go by your full names and like it, you bastards. I'm going to look these guys up and call them Hubert Lovecraft and Jed Tolkein and whatever they may be.
