Started going two times a week to BJJ now. Getting caught a little bit now but not as much and it's taking longer to catch me. Man I need to get in shape. Time to do tons on the ellyptical machine and plyo drills. No weights for now.
Good work and keep it up buddy. I haven't been able to train often and it kills my motivation going only once in fortnight (if I'm lucky) because my cardio ends ups shot. That and the people you train with who you had no problems with can now hang with you.
It's great to hear that you're getting into a regular routine.

My goal is to get down to 220lbs by November. They are having a NAGA event here in FL so if training goes well I am going to enter a no-gi novice class. The only thing that stinks, well it doesn't stink per se, but I'm likely moving in November to CT for my job so I have to find a new school when I move.
You could do some better cardio than the elliptical machine. I like this article by Cressey:

I have to be careful of my knees right now though.
That's good, Cresseys thing doesn't involve any running.

I enterd a NAGA event in Florida a few years ago when the had it in Coralsprings fl. Is this your first naga event?
How about the bike too if your knees are shot?
