last june i sprained my mcl and bruise my knee while rolling. i didnt get my mri results for about a month, so after about 10 days i was back in the gym and had no problems really. when i finally got my results (good thing i wasn't dying because the results sat on someone desk for 2 weeks before being mailed) i was told no sports for at least a month. i thought nothing of this as my knee felt better. that is until last week. i was trying to get out of a triangle choke when my knee hyperextended and i heard a pop, and felt the knee go numb. it seems now that it may be a recurring injury. is there any exercises or supplements (like glucosamine or chrondroiton) that will help strengthen the ligaments and tendons?

I don't know about any exercises or supplements, but I would recommend listening to the doctor and laying off the sports for the time being. Although, it sucks not being able to go hard, you really need to let yourself recover and you don't want to risk turning it into a major injury.

i might take the time to work on some stand up. i figure as long as im not twisting it by grappling it should be alright. i can walk and ice skate with no problems, so hopefully a little boxing wont agrivate it
