Not sure if this is the right forum for this but whatever.

Recently, when I do Dumbbell Bench Press my elbow tendons have been acting up for example twitching sensation or pinching. Is it from too much strain? and What can I do to stop it? I looked it up and someone said forearms are too weak. Just wondering if anyone had any better info to get rid of this and or what to take like glucosamine.

Thanks

For starters glucosamine works for your joints not your tendons although it is a great supplement if you need it.

Fascial release will help.

Interesting, but looking looking for some lifters that might have dealt with this before. Cuz I know some guys that have had it but no real solution.

A friend had tendinitis and recommended using a stress ball when stuck in traffic. Slowly he got over it.

if it only happens when ur doing dumbbell presses then your stabilizing muscles are probably weak and you are relying on your tendons/joints too much. start at a lower weight. dont be surprised if its much less than your bench weight. dumbbell press always feels strange when you first start.

I have had experience with it. If you lift you should use fascial release.

I can't answer your question, but I do know elbows are weird things. Must be nerves going through there or something, because my friend can't use elbow rests or his hands go numb.

I wonder if you should change the angle you hold the dumbells or something. Like if you hold them similar to a bar bench press now, maybe you can try holding them as if you were doing flys. Just a thought.

Yeah the ulnar never will do that to you. I know I had a similar experience to your friend and if I leaned on it too much my arm would have pins and needles plus a numb feeling. It was temporary but then it lasted for a couple of days.

Don't lean on your elbow!

I know 40 had problems with his ulnar nerve.

I second that.

This could be a million things. Improper form, trigger points, muscle imbalance, unhealthy joints, actual structural damage.. exc...

You need to masturbate more furiously to trannies. That will release the built up toxins in your elbows

maybe you need to take a break from lifting for a little while?
