Intense match. Cacareco is a wrestler with the same build as Paulo who now trains at BTT. It looks normal for about 2 minutes and then Filho gets suplexed and just seems to lose it or something. What is your interpretation of what happened and do you agree with the decision?

Horrible decision. Filho got one takedown and that was 10 feet off the mat. Not only did he get owned, but his complete lack of class and sportsmanship was on full display.

i dont know if that video shows the whole story or not, because we dont know anyhitng that was said, but filho did seem like he was quite the asshole.

What competition was that? Were they supposed to give points for taken downs and control ... or was it just a time limit grappling match, and also cacareco didnt go for one submission that entire time, but neither really did filho ...

that match was from the cyclone cup luta livre 'n' submission tournament in dec 2002. Not much of a story really just lutalivre vs bjj rivalries as cacareco was fighting out of RVT at the time and filho BTT. But as far as the decision goes it was bollox, apparently the ref deducted 2 points from cacareco for the 2 sprawls he pulls off towards the edge of the mat near the end of the fight as he put it down to escaping action thus making it 2-2 a draw ,nearly prompting a riot between both camps the match was restarted 10 -15 mins later after everyone calmed down with 10seconds remaing nothing happened leaving it a draw, Filho then filed a formal complaint regarding cacareco stalling what a tit!!!!

and if you can't be arsed to read that i wouldn't blame you

Thanks for the info dude. I thought Filho was angry because Cacareco was holding his shorts and almost pulled them off. Wonder how the crowd would have reacted (or rioted) if Cacareco would have been given the win.

yeah to be fair i think the ref pussied out of the whole thing and tried to give the fans the closest thing he could to a win for filho so's probably not to get shot good sense on his part but a terrible decision just to add it was just one rnd 5 mins submission grappling but i cant understand myself why neither attempted even 1 sub

Interesting. Filho looks like a proper twat. It wasnt going his way so he starts complaining. No wonder they call him mini-Arona.
