i think he is 5'10
5'11 ½ exactly
that was one of his biggest problems when he got older he started letting people taller than him tie him up in the clinch and didnt do nothing to get out of it
Lennox Lewis used that tactic against him and Tyson just let him do it

Heavyweights now are monsters.
He's only 5'10? Pretty small compared to the 6/7 feet guys right now.

i always thought the clinch would be better for the shorter guys as the tall dudes can't do as much damage cos they need distance.
fuck rory

The Clinch is how guys like Buster Douglas and Lennox beat Tyson, by tieing him up when he came in swinging it meant the ref would restart and Tyson would have to work his way back inside, being the shorter man he had to get inside to land with any power shots
so pretty much, Tyson's biggest disadvantage in his losses was the fact they other guys worked a great game plan which tired out Mike and they could just pepper him with straight punches all night. so clinch was Tysons weakness really

my mistake was in thinking that the clinch is used like in muay thai..when instead it's not really used as an opportunity to create offense
oh yeah Muay Thai is completely different, watch guys like JWP to see how to fuck up someone in a clinch, Wanderlai is a great example also
Boxing is a different sport altogether, I get annoyed "a little" when I see posts about how an mma fighter could beat a Boxer in the cage, its like saying a Cricket Player would get struck out in a baseball game imo
anyway back on some sort of topic, Tyson was a killer in his day. not the best but definately great
