I'm still pretty new to boxing, never really paid attention to it but recently I've started becoming interested in it because its a part of mma. So far what I've seen has been a couple ppv's, a couple amateur events by local boxing clubs and alot of HL's. What fights would you recommend as must see fights for someone just getting started?

Muhammad Ali X Joe Frazier 1 and 3

Nigel Benn X Gerald McLennan (ive got an Article to post about this fight)

Arturo Gatti X Mickey Ward 1,2 and 3

Jeff Harding X Dennis Andries (best fight ive ever seen)

Marvin Hagler X Tommy Hearns

Leonard/Duran 1 - an absolute war.
Trinidad/Vargas - one of the best junior middleweight fights of all times.
Whitaker/Chavez - just to see a master boxing lesson from 1 all time great to another
Holyfield/Qawi 1 - Holyfield was just a monster at cruiserweight.

I have the Pryor/Arguello fights on tape.Pryor was like a tireless machine that just never slowed down & couldn't be hurt.
Arguello hit him with everything but the kitchen sink & he didn't move.

I'm with Sharkhunter on some of those.

Hagler vs Hearns
Hearns vs Suger Ray Leanard
but I'll add in
Hagler vs Sugar Ray Leanard

I was a kid and some of those fights first got me into boxing and combat sports in general.

Julio Cesar Chavez vs Meldrick Taylor
Jorge Paez vs about anyone (I used to love watching that guy)
Buster Douglas vs Mike Tyson

Watching Mike Tyson KO Bruno or Michael Spinks was exciting too. They built these guys up soo much and then they got destroyed. It was exciting at the time.

Marvin Hagler vs Tommy Hearns had the best few rounds of boxing (brawling) ever in my opinion. I think it was the first 3 rounds. You have to check that out if you haven't.

I want to see the Ike Ibeache (sp?) vs David Tua fight again too.
