watching it a few times again, it seems like those 2 guys are acting out a scene in the beginning, and yeah that guy that hit the girl definitely saw her coming. The girls boyfriend had on like a pre fight outfit or something, and he seemed like he knew he was gonna have to fight, there was no hesitation or thinking at all
