Lebanner is a devastating hitter, but his chin is starting to go. If a guy with pillowfists like Botha can knock him down, he is in trouble. Buakaw maybe the best stand up fighter pound for pound on the planet. I want to see him and Kid go at it. I think the fight would be phenomenal.

i really have to disagree with you. he's nothing more than a brawler. by mma standards he is fairly decent but on a k-1 or lumpinee level he is garbage.

I have seen Kid dismantle some very good K-1 Max fighters and he has held the K-1 Max belt which he defended by knocking Genki Sudo's head into the 4th row. His fight with Buakaw would be amazing, they both hit so hard that it probably wouldn't last long, but it would be as exciting as hell.

Fist of all, I wasn't saying that K-1 max is MMA. I was talking about a possible matchup between Kid and Buakaw which if it ever happened would be in K-1 MAX since Buakaw is a stand up striker. Kid hits like a truck, he isn't a technical marvel (Buakaw is!!) that is why the fight would be interesting. You know the saying, "Styles make fights". I'm with you on this one Viper. That is a solid group of opponents. K-1 Max is just recently gaining steam so you wouldn't know most of the fighters if you hadn't been watching since the beginning. He will beat a lot more good fighters before he is done I promise you that.

You said Kid never faced good opponents, Viper said he faced good ones in MMA, I was agreeing that his competition in MMA was better that it had been in K-1 Max. I went back and checked Kid's record. You were right about his competition in K-1 Max. I hadn't seen those fights in a long time so I thought some of the guy he had beaten were in K-1 Max, but they were in Hero's and Dynamite as MMA fights. I just know he ended most of those fight by KO and that is why I give him respect as a striker and think he is the only guy at that weight class explosive enough to challenge Buakaw the way Buakaw has been fighting recently. MY BAD ON THE CONFUSION, but I still hold my original point that a Kid/ Buakaw matchup would be the best at Lightweight in any company.

Kid has good standup but he should stick to mma where he is unbeatable. This guy likes to test himself though. Now hes gonna compete in the olympics wrestling. Who can say they have competed in K-1 and the olympics for wrestling. Kid could potentially become a legend.

I agree that Kid is hard to like and possibly dirty, but I also think that if Kaoklai doesn't commit to K-1 Max full time, Buakaw doesn't have a lot of real challengers. Most of the K-1 Max fighters haven't distinguished themselves and risen up.

kaolai isn't gonna fight max anytime soon. he is too slow and k management should sign yodsanklai who has a good chance of beating buakaw since he is the reigning lumpinee champion of his weight class.
