I got the new laptop and it has Vista, I'm a newb when it comes to this shit, how do I change to XP ???

View Full Version : ATTN: Ferguson Axeman 09-18-2008, 03:51 AM I got the new laptop and it has Vista, I'm a newb when it comes to this shit, how do I change to XP ??? ferg [ADR] 09-18-2008, 03:55 AM you'll need a copy of the XP disc or an original and a product key for it. you want to reboot the computer with the disc in the drive, and it needs to be set to boot from CD first in the BIOS (it probably already is) when it reboots it'll say "press a key to boot from CD" and you have 5 seconds to press something. then it will load up the XP setup program which may take a few minutes... pretty much just follow it's instructions on the screen. it mostly tells you what has to be done. come here if you have any problems! you have another computer to get on while you're doing that right?
