I bought one acouple years ago, it stopped working. So I bought one acouple months ago, and it stopped working. Can you transfer viruses from computer to your MP3 player? Maybe I just have bad luck with these things, but I'm just praying I can trade it in for a new one. Any clue?

This one's a phillips, my other was a sony. My first one clicked when you turned it on with no progress, while my new one wont even turn on. I shut it off before I went in the store, came back out, tried to turn it on, and FAIL.

I don't pack it around with me everywhere I go, of course it works. I love my MP3 player, it only makes sense that it would die.

I'm sure that would void the return policy, but what the heck..

It could be from not disconnecting properly. i would try holding down the power button for fifteen seconds and then see what happens.

I think you walked through a metal detector at the store, and it mesed up the electronics inside of it.

you can't transfer viruses to it. it's not running windows. it likely is using a subset of the linux kernel.
