This world is fucked up bad if they blame artists for it. They dont even look at the bullys. FUCKING IDIOTS. After this interview, Manson gained alot of my respect. I listen to his music but thought this guy is a nutjob. Now i think hes one of the smartest people alive. WAR MANSON. if only people took him for who he is and not judge him because he is different
AND here is another speech from him

Bloodshot 07-28-2008, 09:35 AM He does what he does to get the negative attention, it's easy to understand why he did what he did but he sold is soul for rock'n'roll.
people like scape goats, he's not the one to blame. He's just expressing himself. Maybe those killers ate doritoz! Maybe that's it!
Resin 07-28-2008, 11:37 AM He's actually a very intelligent individual.
Bloodshot 07-28-2008, 12:02 PM So was Ted Bundy.
kingy 07-28-2008, 01:38 PM He was* a genius.
Then he caught the "i'm much better than everyone ever." bug.
he's a lame guy now.
trying to save his image in his 60's.
gawd, he needs to stop.
I think you're throwing around the word "genius" a bit too liberally.
Nasty Nate 07-28-2008, 02:58 PM i think manson should off himself.
He knows exactly what he's doing and that it sells.
Personally I think it's garbage,but it works,the man knows
how to market himself and get media attention,he's rich and famous
and got there by playing his own game,so in that i respect him.

einstein is a genius
steven hawkings is a genius
marily manson is a shock rocker on his soap box
he is right though and I think those bullies pretty much were asking for it although they by no means deserved death just a good ass kicking
aKiedis 07-29-2008, 04:37 AM What I can't believe is that he dates this girl:

I saw a couple of movies with her and kind of dug her. When I researched her, I found out she is from Raleigh, NC (where I went to HS and college) and now dates Manson.

What about the teachers and other random students who didn't bully the kids but just happened to go to school like they were suppose to by law?

Reaper Man 07-29-2008, 03:43 PM My opinion on this has changed--initially I felt...no fucking way, people aren't that malleable that they would do something just because some rocker glorifies violence. I maintain my belief that it is a big deal because politicians want something clear to blame and something easy to fix. If their constituents are made about violence in schools and they can convince them that some shock rocker is to blame, all he has to do is get on a podium and rail against this guy and maybe push some pointless legislation to do something.
But the problem is that human beings are imitative animals, kids more than anything. Kids look to someone who seem to believe in what he is doing and not a hypocrite, and has the lifestyle that they want.
Marylin Manson is a rocker that thousands of people listen to, women want to fuck, is a millionaire, lives in a big house, and can say whatever the hell he wants when he wants. What kid wouldn't want to be like that?
That was the point of ancient myths and stories--to create characters that children wanted to mimic...the noble hero like Lancelot, the wild warrior like Achilles, the wise Odysseus. A child grows up trying to mimic the life of those heros and they grow to be virtuous human beings.
Kids don't have these sorts of role models. We don't really have an oral tradition anymore, they don't read for the most part, certainly not classic works teaching classic values, most prominent figures--lawyers, politicians celebrities--are superficial scumbags, and most parents are a) having children while they are still children themselves and b) to busy to actually serve as a positive role model in their children's life.
Marylin Manson is the problem, because he is someone that the kids look to and admire and want to emulate, but the problem is deeper than that, and should not be solved simply by preventing Manson from doing what he wants.
dragonfly 07-29-2008, 04:27 PM were all stars in the dope show
Trolly 07-29-2008, 05:53 PM I don't know about a genius but certainly intelligent. Despite most of his singles I always thought it came through in his music

No offence, but then shouldn't those kids have started their own shock rock band?
M. Manson never killed anyone that i know of.
If it was the 50's we'd be blaming Elvis' pelvis.
Now we blame GTA video games and rap or metal.
Seriously. I'm not a fan of his music, and he is not a genius, but come on.
He put it best at the end of the interview.
"i would have listened to them. No one else did."
The f**ked up world and the hopelessness and alienation people feel is a much bigger factor than MM. They relate to the lyrics because they feel that way. Not the other way around.
