All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, therefore all are in need of a savior.

If you have ever lied, stolen, even once you are a sinner.

hate doesn't not equal murder imo. You can hate someone without killing them. And you can eventually not hate this person anymore. You cant un-murder someone.

I can not change the fact that I'm a sinner no matter how hard I try. Only Christs blood and my repentance can save me from this.

I am not going to get into a theological discussion/argument about this. You have beliefs that you hold sacred, I have none. Does that stop me from living a "good" life? No, I try not to hurt people intentionally (anymore) I just try to mind my own business. I have made mistakes in my life that I regret but are not those experiances that make a person who they are?

living a good life just makes it easier for you to think you are doing the right thing and being trapped into believing a lie. You're like the person that comes home from work and turns on the TV to see all the bad things going on in the news and says, good thing I'm safe inside my house. It's silly... it's silly... get silly... get silly.

Atheists are a joke to Christians. We see them as our little step children, they always wanna be like us, and do the things we do and get credit for them, they don't understand why we don't want to take the credit for something but give it to God instead. They try to imitate our way of living and how we treat others, thinking that's all there is to it. Unfortunately they are missing some important ingredients, such as true inner joy, joy that comes only from having Christ in our heart. Atheists do things for people for their own glory, Christians do for others because we already have joy so we give the glory to God.

Amen

Thats cool, I don't judge anyone. I don't think everyone has to believe in Jesus to be a good person. My personal beliefs tell me that every person is going to fall short of perfection and we all need Jesus in our lives. I know bad things happen when you try to force people into having faith, but it never hurts to talk about it and understand where other people are coming from.

were they not made to be broken?

it took moses how many days to come up with this "code of conduct" for all humans to live by? should have waited a couple thousand more years; so as not to miss any evil-doing that we've become capable of since the "creation" of the commandments.

seriously? okay, i will tell let me count them up first.

assuming thou shalt not kill doesn't apply to flies or poisonous snakes, i have broken only half, so 5.

for whatever it's worth tho...i don't believe in god, heaven, hell, nor the commandments.

2 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;

3 Do not have any other gods before me.
there were plenty of gods before you; Marduk, Zeus, Krishna

4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/I/41YJH51A0WL.jpg

5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me,
I left Santa some cookies when I was 7

6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments.
in a thousand generations times change, I would hope my progeny have better things to occupy their time

7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.
since yahweh is the nameless god , this one's got me stumped

8 Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.
Ozzy's alright, but all day would get on my nerves

9 For six days you shall labour and do all your work.
days off are nice
10 But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns.
my cat catches mice on sundays. I've got a grey alien that does landscaping for me but his weeks are 60 days long so it works out

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it.
how long were those days before you made the sun?

12 Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
I love my mom and dad , they told me to make up my own mind about religion

13 You shall not murder.
that's why I took up jujitsu so I could choke mother fuckers out instead of curb stomping them

14 You shall not commit adultery.
unfortunately there are some foxy MILFs around who love getting their titty's tattooed

15 You shall not steal.
rapidshare isn't stealing

16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour.
good fences make good neighbors and I just painted my fence

17 You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.
my neighbor's wife is shriveled old hag but his donkey is pretty hot

The commandments were meant to live by. Also the law established later was too strict and difficult for man to live by, therefore showing that man cannot accomplish it upon his own and that he needs a perfect sacrifice to go in his place that covers a multitude of sins. This is Jesus. Accept Him and have eternal life through Him.

Christians are a joke to Atheists, how can you believe in something that you have never seen? Don't give me the line about "faith, the feeling you get, the blessings in your life" I believe in things I have seen, I have never seen a god, or a power higher then myself. Perhaps I am God. I have always been told that you have to have faith, faith in what? A magic God who lives...WHERE? It is nice that you have something to believe in that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. I believe that religion is for the people that are scared of their lives, full of regret, and missed oppertunities that they could have had if they weren't afraid of getting a celestial slap on the wrist when they die. I am going to live my life doing whatever I want and trying to have no regrets.

I probably say mostly the sabbath one (particularly the working one cause I gotta get paid). Im not sure is saying things like "god damn it" or "oh god that feels good, DEEPER" is taking God''s name in van as it does express the intensity of what im feeling.

Woah woah woah, didnt you just recently say in some other thread something about how any faith that makes you think your better than others in not that of christ?

Of course as i pointed out in that same thread its not the first time you've used your faith to look down on others
