Both films are based on her torture and death.

An American Crime follows the story from court transcripts, uses real names, and is supposed to be factual.

The Girl Next Door is glorified and was much worse for me because I thought at the time, everything they were portraying actually happened.

Both films are disturbing as fuck though.
