What seems skewed is that you missed the obvious rhetorical motif that appears to drive the film. Valentino’s case fits perfectly with the female fitness competitor who talks about using steroids, plastic surgery, breast implants, hair extension, and even tanning to look healthy when the antithesis is actually true.

what i know from a few body builders i know is that it really takes a serious commitment and steroids is only a part of their whole routine. not everyone can do a few cycles and look like that. it really takes a unworldly dedication. i cant imagine to starve like that.

Pharmaceutical companies have us taking drugs for our depression, anxiety, weightloss, attention deficit, ect. all in the name of making us better. But of course the doctors wouldn't give us harmful medication or atleast that's what the general public seems to believe. They hand out stuff like Desoxyn which is basically meth for ADD. So when I see steroid users being ridiculed for taking substances that can be harmful to their body I find it a bit ironic. Just look at the guy in the video he's far and the fast food not only adds to his weight gain but it also can lead to heart disease. Everyone in America is engaging in some kind of unhealthy activity, but when you can single an activity out that is only practiced by a minority it's much easir to scrutinize them.
