beetsh 06-10-2008, 01:53 PM why does it have to be a laptop?
why does it have to be a laptop?
I assume he wants to play games while at work.
i got a sweet laptop form fateway for about 1300. it has the 8800gts video card, the best for laptops out there, i can run conan and wow at the same time, just alt+tab between the two. i can run conan on max settings and get high 20's in fps, its sick. i do need a lil more ram tho,i got 3gb but thats easy to upgrade.
here it is, it just went up $100, i got it at 1299, but also with a $75 discount, i got a good deal

u have to add alot of things to those alienwares. they say starting at 1399 but in reality u have to add the gpu, the ram, the processor, and before u know it u r at 2000
the gateway is prolly the cheapest laptop out there with an 8800, it also has a 7200rpm hard drive which is really nice and noticeably better then a 5400rpm
pokey 06-12-2008, 06:46 AM word i appreciate all the help there che bro, but your speakin a foreign language my friend.

i dont understand about the memory stick? u can get seperate memory sticks, like usb flash drives for cheap, but those are independent of the computer itself. this one comes with a 160gb hard drive, not that big, but at 7200rpm its better for gaming then a 5400rpm. u sacrifice a lil space for some better speed.
and u can always buy an external hard drive for cheap and store big files there.

RAM-random access memory
basically the more u got and the faster it is, the better and quicker ur computer runs. 2gb is a minimum these days especially if u r running vista, since it takes about 1gb for itself. this one has 3gb which is really nice, but 4gb is where its at now. ram is really cheap. if u want to upgrade u will only need to buy 1 2gb stick which will be cheap, just has to match the other stick and the motherboard, new egg should have them, prolly 40-50 dollars.
