I downloaded a few vids that I can watch in windows media player but when I go to save them, they are saved as playlists (.wpl files). Because of this I cannot import them into windows movie maker as it won't take playlists. It's just one video, but it's saved as a playlist. Is there a way I can save it as something else or convert the file type from .wpl to .wmv? I need serious help & I will gladly rep for answers.

I couldn't get a short vid (looked like a gif to me) as my avatar today. On my computer it showed as a pic until i preview it then it's a gif looking thing but I couldn't get it to be an avatar properly.

Nevermind. The max is 195 kb and my gif is 650 kb. Oh well, you fools lose out on a couple of my friends in a bra and panty pillow fight.

I don't know but I bet a bunch of these guys do. Boondock, pcmaker, shane west, pizzaman, and any of the guys that entered the highlight contests would be good guys to hit up with this question.

the video itself isn't actually saved as a playlist. the playlist file just contains a small chunk of info telling media player where to actually go to open the video file(s) in the list.

here, try this: figure out exactly where the .wpl file is. now, go open notepad, click file -> open... and navigate to that folder. change "text documents" to "all files" in the dropdown list on the Open dialog box. now open up that .wpl file.

you should see all the file names and paths for every video in that playlist surround by a bunch of XML metadata. you should be able to figure out where all the vids are located. if you can't, just click edit, select all, edit, copy.

then paste your clipboard in a post here and i'll help you.

everybody on this website should install a VNC server, and when you have problems pay me to connect and fix your issues.

nah j/k i wouldn't charge any of you, your stolen bank account and credit card info would be good enough for me.
