That's bullshit. He moved his hand way back first. Fucking Jeet Kune Do people. Bruce asked Yip Man if he could teach Wing Chun to Americans, and he said yes as long as he changed the name.

The one inch punch is a real thing but it's not meant to break boards. I wish I was near some of you so I could show it really works. But it's more of an expression of how important hip movement, body unity and shifting on the heels are to the system.

This is the only post you've ever made I can completely agree with. All the energy is generated through the core and hips. I damn sure couldn't do it like Bruce but I could probably sit a good sized man on his ass with it. Bruce was a physical marvel is why it is so impressive when he does it.

I have been hit by a 1-inch punch and can honestly say that it hurt like hell. I was hit on the sternum and had trouble breathing for a while. My heart hurt.

But the whole philosophy of being able to generate a multiple of that power in relation to the distance traveled is bullshit. If so then Wing Chun guys would hit the hardest, which they don't. It's just a quick, short-distance explosion. However I'm sure it can have it's applications.
