- With the recent internet hype surrounding the return of the Ultimate Warrior for NWE in Spain, it was imminent that TNA would be thrown out there. According to Dave Meltzer Warrior is in fact in talks with TNA, although no deal has been reached. Warrior will be asking for a boat load of money.
- Kevin Nash was recently interviewed with the Daily Star out of the UK and mentioned the following when WCW and TNA were compared:
"I think the thing is they had a plan and they didn't want to grow too fast. They set modest goals along the way. Now they're in a position where they are going to make a profit, which is huge. The first 4 years I was in WCW we lost 30 or 40 million dollars a year. The business plan is correct, TNA didn't over grow. It's very important to go to the UK. To me, if I was going to the UK I'd do 12 stops like the old WWE days, Cardiff, Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester. I haven't been back in a few years, so hopefully I'm on the tour. WWE has a standard way of operating. As we grow, our process is more organic. There's more fan interaction, it is building a brand. Wrestling fans are very loyal, if they feel they are a part of your promotion, they don't go anywhere. It's important to have those avenues to draw money. You have to have the perception of being global."
- TNA have sent out a text alert through their mobile service noting that Abyss "will be looking to return at Slammiversary." Video clips have started airing of Abyss on Impact from a mental institution, of which he was self committed.
