When he hit the canvas and didn't get back up, my heart just broke. Props to Sato though, first man to KO Buakaw, didn't look too overly excited about it either. It was the knee to the kidney/liver that did the job, after that Buakaw was just moving in slow motion. Masato didn't look too happy about it...

Speaking of Masato, what the hell is up with his hair??? Looks like an 8 year old. He should really give his hairstylist a left hook for that.

I'll watch the other fights tomorrow but I'm pretty bummed out right now that Buakaw lost the way he did.

I don't know the K-1 Max circuit that well. What Ihave learned from reading the forums and HL vids is that Buakaw is the shit. I can't believe he got KTFO

He did the exact same thing in their last fight. He paid the price by almost getting KOed that time as well, this time he just pushed his luck a little too far... I had him winning Rounds 1 and 2, he may have been able to get the decision if he didn't become so reckless with his punching. I just hope he learns from this and comes back stronger next year.

However I am worried about one of the K-1 producer's statements:
"What happened to him? . VS Sato , VS Klaus and VS Chahbari were not good.
If the present state seems to continue, I must change a other Thai fighter."

Replace Buakaw? That's crazyness, I hope he was joking about that. Another thing that bothered me was Masato's statements after fighting Drago, pretty arrogant and disrespectful IMO.

the funny thing is that they can't let more than one competitive thai in the tournament..... then its goin to be thai vs thai final....

i jsut dont understand what happend to him. he doesn't even use the teep as much as before. he usually does good 1 +2 then he starts to slug it out for no reason

I just hope now we can see Buakaw vs. Yodsanklai, I've been waiting for this match for ages. Though, I do think it's a risky match right after his KO loss, but Buakaw does have what it takes to pull it off.

Buakaw himself stated that punches are more effective against Sato than kicks. Not to mention, his teeps and kicks don't score much towards K-1 judging (Buakaw vs. Kraus I), the teep is really more of a defensive move anyways. He did use them against Sato a few times, but he didn't throw them high because of Sato's height and he was keeping his guard up.

Buakaw was doing everything right until the last round. He really could've KOed Sato in the 2nd if he didn't have such a hard chin. Buakaw expended a lot of energy on his punches in the final round, which wasn't a good idea because I had him winning on the scorecards and Sato accelerated and started pushing the pace at that time as well. He was visibly fatigued after throwing the punches and the knees to the body just damaged his cardio more so. Then Sato threw the knee to the liver, he couldn't breathe, it was clear he was done.

yod is a good pick since he doesn't clinch at all but he does use elbows and he is very powerful but he fights at a slower pace. hes a lazy fighter..... but i think with proper adaptation he can do this. his timing is very good and his power is up there too. also he showboats a lot more so its good....

Well Finals are in 3 months. I see Sato or Kyshenko taking it...
