View Full Version : i smashed my finger, can i still train? danxgerous 05-11-2008, 08:28 AM i smashed my ring finger on my left hand in the gym today. its VERY swollen and hard and blue and purple now. i cant really move it. how long will it take to heal? i have bjj on tuesday. jukeboxhero 05-11-2008, 05:53 PM If it's broken, no training. If it's just bruised, yes training. Cameron 05-11-2008, 09:38 PM i trained with a bon chip and sprained fingures. its all about how you train taping the joint and listening to your body if it hurts to much or the pain changes or the joint wont do the job your body is telling you to stop. play it by what your body says and ice it after every training session. Tape the bottom and middle sections. Do not tape the joints. Don't tape it too tight, SLIGHTLY loose is good. Keep taped for 8 months. Really keep it taped an extra week or 2 after you think it's healed. This is the easiest thing to reinjure. vBulletin® v3.7.4, Copyright ©2000-2008, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. |
