View Full Version : 6 days into my diet/weight cut -- 20 lbs in 20 days
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-11-2008, 12:33 AM Starting weight 184.6 Today 180.7 --- 5' 8 1/2" tall
I spent the first week living on ultra lean beef prepared Hamburger Helper and Muscle Milk + Optimum Nutrition Pro Performance Whey (protien shakes 3 - 5 times per day) along with Lipo -6 and Sugar Free Monster Energy drinks. Been trying to keep Calorie consumption between 1500 - 2500 a night (when cheating) Normally I exceed 3000+ on any given day.
Up until yesterday when I slept nearly 16 hours to finally recover I had been sleeping approximately 2 hours a night so I burned as many calories as possible
Until yesterday after all the sleep to rebuild myself, I had dropped about 7 lbs and was sore all the time. Now i've put back on 4 lbs after finally sleeping and feel good. Took the pics today.
Still fat but showed alot of increase in power and stamina on my bench (when starting a workout I don't have a real routine but the difference was noticeable after I thrashed myself last week.) My legs feel good, still have to go for my run tonight so I'll see if thats for real.
This week i'm going to start a more traditional routine, past week I did 3 days of light workout on pushups - situps - pullups - cardio circuit. Featured a harder focus on chest 1 day, abs/lower back the next and upper back the third. Then a run.
Day 1: Fast 2 miles somewhere near low 14 mins mostly uphill
Day 2: Ran twice, 1st time an average speed 4 miles then a faster 2 miles in the afternoon but not as fast as day 1
Day 3: Ran 3/4 mile warmup hard, then uphill sprints of about 80 meters X 10 then 2 uphill sprints of 200 meters, my legs are getting really fatigued by this point from the load placed on them with a little more than 5 hours of cumulative sleep in the last 3 days. Afternoon ran a 2 mile warm up before hitting the gym for cardio circuit mentioned above.
Day 4: Took a nice relaxing walk in the morning and swam about 300 meters in the afternoon. My body needed the relaxation
Day 5: 3.5 mile run at a pretty good pace in the morning then pull up routine, fell asleep in the afternoon slept 6 hours - woke up ate - fell back asleep for another 10
Day 6: Today - worked out chest pretty fuckin hard. Weighed myself, added almost 4 lbs back after sleeping. Still have to run tonight. Definately lost some fat from this though. Tryed taking my protien shake a different way. 1 1/2 Scoops of Muscle Milk for the Casein/Whey mix and its necessary fats + 1 scoop of Pro Performance for its insanely high amounts of protein and tons of BCAA's
Mix isn't bad + its got everything under the sun and has 54 grams of protein

This is body built on working out hard as fuck occasionally and drinking hard as fuck the rest of the time. Love it
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-11-2008, 12:38 AM With any luck my Riblets will be showing before I haul my ass down to get some dirty Cancun pussy over Memorial day
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-11-2008, 02:22 AM Track workout finished...
300M 100% - 200m walk - 300M 100% - 200m walk
400M 75 % - 400 M 50%
4 X 200M 100% - 200m cooldown walk between each one
600M 75% and 200M cooldown walk
Nothing too hard but with these Lipo -6's in me my heart was beating like it was gonna explode
(For anybody just starting out with running don't do it with any kind of fat burners in your system - IT SUCKS)
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-12-2008, 03:30 AM Did abs today - cheated on the diet and didn't take any fat burners as they seemed to be losing their strength. Cycled off for a day so tomorrow they will accomplish their task
Jack Mehoff {ADR} 05-12-2008, 07:03 AM dont care
beetsh 05-12-2008, 01:53 PM good work.
these fat burners - are they legal in america and how effective are they? i was getting offered some clenbuterol the other night.... any good?
good work.
these fat burners - are they legal in america and how effective are they? i was getting offered some clenbuterol the other night.... any good?
People calling you fat?
beetsh 05-12-2008, 09:10 PM nah we were talking about getting ripped as we were standing next to a guy who dropped about a stone over the last 6 months and now looks like a body builder.
i was jealous and wanted and easy option.
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-13-2008, 02:33 AM The good stuff is no longer legal - these are things that basically are high in caffeine and other stuff that keeps your heart beating like a hummingbirds so you burn more calories throughout the day. Ephedra used to work like a charm but people that were out of shape tried running on it and they had heart attacks. So thats no longer an option
beetsh 05-13-2008, 07:09 PM nah he said it was illegal.
legality doesnt really affect my decision making process too much.
So did your heart explode or did you just stop giving us updates?
blevunly 05-18-2008, 04:42 AM Yeah, how goes the transformation?
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-18-2008, 05:54 AM Not too bad - I'm pretty much just updating weekly... I had a PT test on last friday so I had to take Wednesday and Thursday easy as far as exercise. In losing weight I've got my run time on a 2mile back down to mid 13 minutes. I weighed last thursday; down to 178. I'll give a real update after I go to the gym tomorrow. I've got some more definition on my abs and on the top right hand side i'm finally seeing some riblets.
Better update coming.
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-18-2008, 05:55 AM That and I didn't think anybody was actually reading this thread lol
pokey 05-18-2008, 05:59 AM ive been checkin it too, keep it up. its probably gonna help kick my ass into gear
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-18-2008, 06:20 PM Drank a 6er while watching WVR - broke the diet so went to the gym after - Did some abs
Ball v-ups, (raise it between my feet then take it with my hands and pass it back and forth), 1 legged ball situps to work on balance and core, and situps along with reverse situps/leg raises off the dip bars
then hit biceps
2 sets 15 reps each arm dumbbell standard standing curls X 30 lbs 30 second rest then 5 reps each arm every 20-30 seconds for 5 sets. 2 minute rest Then 2 sets 15 lb dumbbells X30 reps each arm crossarm curls (going up and touching the opposite shoulder) If I wasn't still buzzed probably would have hit abs harder... but was still a little spinny leaving the gym. That was good enough for me
Not a long workout but intensity > time my biceps are fried cause I haven't worked them specifically in a LONG time
Weighed in when I first went in 177.4 lbs down almost 10 in just under 2 weeks, probably won't make the 20 lb goal but i've added muscle back so its ok.
beetsh 05-18-2008, 09:04 PM anyone ever tried these? its allegedly some kind of eca stack. thoughts?

beetsh 05-18-2008, 09:41 PM Categories In general there are two kinds of fat burners- thermogenic fat burners and stimulant free fat burners; clearly each of these categories targets the needs of different consumers. Thermogenic fat burners are often referred to as being a metabolism booster, because they usually work by increasing metabolic functioning in users. Let's take a look at these types of fat burners in order to get a better idea about what they can actually "do" for consumers.
When consumers who know anything about fat burners read or hear the word thermogenic agent, they almost always think about Ephedrine, which in the past was one of the most sought after thermogenic fat burners on the market. This is because Ephedrine really worked, and was well known as one of the premiere fat burners.
However, over time it was shown to have some disturbing side effects, such as bad temper, restlessness muscles, nausea, sleeplessness, amplified heart rate, urinary disturbances and queasiness for some. In high dosages it may substantially boost blood pressure and cardiac rhythm disorders. Subsequently Ephedrine was removed from the market.
Patented Ingredients In Focus While Ephedra was off the market other fat burners started being used extensively by product developers, some of which showed some real promise. For instance, Advantra-Z is a metabolism booster with some really significant thermogenic abilities. Advantra-Z is a patented version of the herbal extract Bitter Orange, which has a long history of being used in Chinese medicine to address a variety of different ailments, as well as to help users lose weight and ease their appetite. The boon of using Advantra-Z as a metabolism booster is that it has been shown to be comparable to Ephedrine, However, there is one important difference - Advantra-Z lacks the dangerous side effects that go hand in hand with the use of Ephedrine.
However, recently the ban was lifted on Ephedra/Ephedrine, and the court allowed product developers to recommence selling fat burners and other supplements that contain no more than 10mg of the naturally occurring form of Ephedra. Nevertheless, many consumers are still put off by the potential side effects associated with this metabolism booster.
Stimulant free fat burners are very attractive to those consumers who want to avoid stimulants altogether, including caffeine, which is often used in many thermogenic agents. Stimulant free fat burners usually utilize elements such as CLA and Calcium. However, CLA does not usually come to mind when individuals are considering fat burners to help them meet their weight loss goals.
The reason why CLA is so attractive to some individuals and product developers is that it does not in anyway give users a stimulant like after effect, which is commonly associated with many fat burners. This is because it CLA is purposed to address fat burning through another avenue that does not include a thermogenic reaction.
The use of CLA in fat burners is based on the belief that through a series of chemical reactions human growth hormone production is increased in the body, which in turn would help increase fat loss and muscle gain. Whether or not CLA is effective has not been borne out as of yet.
hotnewton 05-18-2008, 10:14 PM I went from 238 to 218 in 21 days once. I burnt out though because I wasn't eating properly. I just wanted to see how much weight I could lose before burning out.
I'm now in the process of staying at around 235 but melting body fat. It's working by the way. I have a 2.5 pack lolz.
hotnewton 05-18-2008, 10:14 PM Oh yeah.
And nice to see you succeeding bro. Keep the updates coming.
beetsh 05-18-2008, 10:17 PM with these grenade things?
beetsh 05-18-2008, 10:18 PM or just clean eating & exercise?
hotnewton 05-19-2008, 10:03 AM Clean eating (ish) and a ton of exercise.
I was getting in two full workouts a day as well as 3 or 4 mini 10-15 minute workouts.
Lots of protein, fruits, veggies, whole grains and water.
But I crashed and started craving shit food and I was tired so I didn't exercise and I gained most of it back.
hotnewton 05-19-2008, 10:04 AM I also rushed into it.
I was basically a beginner again as I hadn't worked out like that in over a year. I am getting back to great shape so I think I might try it again.
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-20-2008, 09:10 AM LOL I like eating real food too much I cheat like twice a week... Dinner last night consisted of 4 peices of fried chicken and a tub of mashed potatoes and gravy lol oops. I think when all is said and done i'll probably be down about 10 lbs come Friday.
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-20-2008, 09:11 AM Another problem is I've been running so much that I have started to get runners knee symptoms and have had to cut back :P shitty
hotnewton 05-20-2008, 09:59 AM I'm the same way when it comes to food.
Although I usually just enjoy the shit out of chicken and veggies and shit liek that... soemtimes my body just craves shit.
I had some donuts tonight. PWNT.
I'm at 240 right now and am going to see how long it takes me to get to 220 in a healthy manner. I'm thinking 45 days or so.
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-29-2008, 04:04 AM I was right at 175 2 days before the 20 day mark - then when playing football this stupid 250 lb fuck jumped and came down on my left shoulder with all his weight. Fucked my back up bad. I've been popping flexiril 3 times a day for a week now. Couldnt even walk the first day after it.
Gonna get back on the diet and try to drop another 10 to 15 the healthy way.
pokey 05-29-2008, 04:08 AM damn, thats shitty bro. i was about to come in here and put WARRRRRR IP then i read the shit and was like damn
WARRRRRRRR BURNZ
Resin 05-29-2008, 05:24 AM I need to cut weight soon.
CreatureCore 05-29-2008, 06:39 PM Another problem is I've been running so much that I have started to get runners knee symptoms and have had to cut back :P shitty
Try jump roping instead on grass. Running hurts my left ankle as i tore ligaments there before in bjj. So since i cant run as much i jump rope on grass since its soft. Jump roping burns calories faster then running and really builds your thighs.
deegs 05-30-2008, 01:46 AM i bet you can do pullups. get really good at pullups
ItBurnzWhenIP 05-30-2008, 02:03 AM ^Actually thats been my staple the last few days. Feels good compared to everything else which kinda sucks to do. I should be G2G again in a couple more days then back to sprints, 5 milers and cardio circuits.
Jack Mehoff {ADR} 06-19-2008, 04:08 AM wheres the update?
ItBurnzWhenIP 06-25-2008, 12:54 PM I thought I updated this. 3 days out from the finish we were playing like fuckin frisbee football, (with a football though just frisbee football rules) and this 250+ lb fuck jumped to block the ball and landed with his full weight on my left shoulder and used me to break his fall. He damn near tore a muscle in my back and I had a severe back spasm which put pressure on my sciatic nerve. I couldn't even stand up straight for the next couple days my muscles tightened up so much, my shoulders were tilted badly to one side. Got a prescription for some flexiril and 3 weeks of rest. I drank my sorrows away in Cancun and put pretty much all my lost 13 lbs back on via sitting on my ass for 3 weeks lol.
I just got back into working out hard again last week. I haven't started a healthy diet yet though, and on that note i'mma go dig into some Hamburger Helper. Thanks for asking though
HipnotiK 06-29-2008, 03:28 AM war diaz
RoryZilla 06-29-2008, 03:39 AM If you are cutting I think that the Isopure protein is better than the ON.
