meh to each his own, i'd definately suggest you try it though to up you no gi game. today i rolled with this guy who's ben training at the pit in San Louis Obispo, (same team as chuck but i guess he is only part of the grappling school i dunno). well the guy was huge! but we had a great roll and we both had good submission attemps on each other but i got the better of positions and this guy only trains in no gi. he took the no gi pan ams, and placed at a lot of big no gi tournaments and i kept up with him the whole time and maybe even got better postions despite him weigh like 215 pounds.

i really think GI teaches you to slow down and rely on technique rather than explosiveness or stregth

which is probably why i like it, i dont have time to work out alot and am just lazy by nature, so ive always been a more mental than physical fighter

gi helps your no gi. i cam from a wrestling background then started bjj and my game went up alot once i got use to the gi. i taught me a lot more technique. i believe that you should train both equally but start in the Gi to get a good base of the technique

Well, that's what I'm sayin'. Marcelo, Xande, Saulo, Drysdale, Roger Gracie, the list goes on. All BJJ black belts.
